see my siggy. it's the nuvi 310 with bluetooth so that it can connect to my cell phone. i can talk seamlessly from nuvi or even sms from nuvi.

Pricing, think now drop to around 400 bucks or so. good time to buy now i would say.

i had use garmin 200w for 2 mth, and had sold it off to someone here...

and get myself a holux gpsmile55

let me tell u:

for garmin you can go to www.malsingmaps.com to get lot of info from the forum!

and so many people give poi and all share to get it updated! and so lot of poi can loaded into it, and can always get any map in the world you want for free!

but you got to be techie a bit to download and install on it... all free!

boot up time slow, take 40-50sec to startup and take 1-2min to get connected, remember you must connect to use gps, if not u drive until the place the set still not connect yet! so watse time wait for the set to connect then can move!

for holux is using mapking, you need to get update from them, every 3 mth once (need your serial number)... not much poi in it, and you cannot put in other map, only singapore and malaysia, if u want you will need to buy the map, and u will need the serial number on the SD card to update...

update is easy, just put in the sd card and click the exe file, and all done, not like malsingmap... need to do lot more!

boot up time is 0 sec, and can move your car... it will still connect when move, the voice in it very cool: "your gps is ready to navi now" "speed camera in 300m"

need to switch map (base got 5 map to choose) when in malaysia, which some are not updated well in some place...

holux best!

both can say mid end, dun want to spent $500 or more for higher end!

garmin 200w $399 now

holux 55 $499 now

if can go for holux, if you are like me always dun like to wait for the gps to connect b4 move! watse time!

and holux look better then 200w and the info on the gps, holux win garmin, just go to any shop to compare it yourself... but sometime too many thing on the screen also bad... anyway look nicer!

and after i fix up the ext antenna, i can even navi when under cte!

anyway update is more easy then malsingmap, that for me which is not very techie...
