Have you driven both the cars to make the comment?

If you wanna compare paper performance...

then why is a lotus exige able to keep up with a modena on lap times?

Sorry.... i am a toyota fan....

But NSX is the next car i wanna get.

When u have driven one.. u will know why this term exists "nsx scares ferrari off the mountains".

only shows the NSX-R head infront.laugh.gif

anyway,i guess the GTR will win on drag.

but on track,it might be different.

but i still prefer the look of the NSX-R.thumbsup.gif

not sure if this two car are direct competitor as their specs are pretty different.

NSX-R is 3.2litre NA

while GTR is 3.8litre twin turbo.sweatdrop.gif

The FN2 is truly better than the car it replaces... But not from an enthusiast point of view I guess. It's larger, roomier, more practical with the ULTRa seat taken from the Fit design, and it has more driving aid than the car it replaces. Sure Honda should just give it the Euro R moniker, but the Type R GT is good enough to be passed on as not real Type R.

For the the real Type R, Honda have the FD2R. But personally... I would buy the FN2 if I have to choose between both.

Oh, about Clarkson's trash comments and test drives about the FN2... He does that a LOT to any cars. His trash talk is what makes Top Gear... Well... Top Gear. But truth be told, the same Honda Civic Euro Type R won Top Gear magazine's hot hatch of the year award back in 2007.

Unless you too are a clone of Brad Pitt, which I am, then no... [laugh] But seriously, the FN2 is my dream car for a daily driver. It pushes just enough between practicality and performance. Wish Honda made it available globally.

I doubt its a failure, it just doesn't appael to the local crowd who prefers practicial rather than unique.

Singaporean rather have a 4D car rather than a 3DR. Look at the sales of the wrx,sti,evo.. All performance car that is practical.

And with the JDM's type R, the odds is way against the Euro spec car. It doesn't help that the JDM's performance outshine the euro one by a mile.

Package is inferior to the JDM one as well, no brambo etc.

LOok at the Ep3, it doesn't sell as well..

I like you, you know what you are talking about.

Many people pass quick judgement without full understanding. Success or failure really depends on what one use as the yardstick.

In Singapore, most people can only afford 1 car per household. And that 1 car have to serve multiple purpose. So practicality comes in as a very important factor. A 3DR looses out big time on this.

However for some people who places driving experience, image and style above practicality, then they would probably have no issues with 3DR or coupe.
