When to change sparkplugs

Most NGK & Denso plugs cost about $3 ea. The Made in Japan Denso I paid abt $4.50ea for my old Corona. But they were worth every penny.

 

I intend to use Jap made plugs for my Korean Chevy next. A few dollars investment for peace of mind as I intend to keep my car till scrap as what I do with most of my cars.

I too use Made in Japan Denso copper plugs. IK16 for my Aveo. $4.50 each. Change them every 6 months / 5k mileage. I'm just too rich.

actually no need to use those life long iridium ..

 

just use normal plug and change every 10-15k or say every service....

 

its like underwear u buy branded wear 10 years smell nice or u buy one new pair not so branded and change every 1 year smell nicer

My normal Denso & NGK plugs can last till 20K km.

 

I ever tried the MY made plugs. Only abt 5K km n start to jerk & sputter.

my toyota manual states to use only iridium plugs so how??

wanted to use coppers which are cheap but feel insecure...

If your car needs Iridium plugs, then u must use them only.

 

Always try to stick to what is recommended by the manufacturer for your car. It is likely the most suitable & sud not cause any problems.

Nope. Change them with every servicing. I drain my oil every 5k. On aftermarket filter. Must do regularly. Will try changing my plugs every 10k next time since now economic crisis.

Just remember I have been going there for >10 years so I might have some "special" privileges.

 

U can slow tok to Ah Ting & after u both get to know each other, he might give u good prices too.

 

I like him cos he always does a good job for me. No crappy work like most of those ws using young, cheap & in-experienced MY workers.
