there is only 1 manual 320 in local shore......

what a waste [:p]

 

there's also only 1 manual 335i in SG [sly][sly]

 

or are we talking abt the same 3-series? [:p]

 

the 335i who want to sell his car [sly] and get a 335ci?

If PML only buy back at 71K then might as well sell at open market?

 

In this type of leasing program, like in the US, the driver can have the option to keep the car and pay at discounted price.

 

Hmmm, market has dropped quite a bit recently...I think currently can get 2 yr old 320 at 83-85K...if you looking at 3yr old 320, I think there is a possibility you can get it at 72-74K..

If a 2 years old 320 at ~ $80K is really a good buy liao.

 

But the current economy so bad.. Need to consider well before making any big purchase.

I have been monitoring the resale mkt for quite sometime and esp recently..notice premium conti prices generally do drop between 5-7K (for the usual 2L cars. compared to resale prices in first half of 2008)since Nov onwards after recession kicks in and the coe plunge..

 

Iam edging more towards resale 159 and A4 next yr but would not rule out 320 and even the 93. [;)]

Oic. The A4 are you referring to the current new model A4?

 

Other than the buying price, my 2 main concerns of the 2nd hand conti cars are the reliability and maintenance cost. [:/]

the new A4..actually conti maintenance cost is not as expensive as it seems..most of these models only need to be serviced once every 20,000km (in between only need to do engine oil change every 10,000km)..unless is major parts getting spoilt, if not, it is reasonably affordable..but for the 320, Iam not sure if what I heard is accurate..some people do tell me 320 owners do face nitty gritty issues with their rides pretty frequently..

i think for selected models only... maybe the 1 or 3 series...

 

Applies only to 320i Pro. PML guarantees to buy back the car at $71,380.80 after 36 months. If you exceed 60K km, they will deduct 60 cents for every km over.

 

I have asked my SE for more details on how much the downpayment and monthly repayment are, as one of my friends is interested as well.

 

I think if u sell a 3 yr old beemer on the open market can fetch higher than that. [:p]

I don't think u can get a 3 yr old 320 for $71K even with current market condition.

It is possible to buy a 3yr old 320 at 73-74K in current mkt condition..for next yr, I think 71K is possible as mkt will be even further depressed..

 

I seen a couple of 3 yr old 320 advertised for 78-79K..generally can bargain another 4-5K off the advertised price for current mkt..

I would say PML buy back at 71K is not exactly low...if you sell to outside dealers, they will offer you only 68-69K and then advertised 78-79K for it with room to go down by another 4-5k max..dealers margin is at least 5-6K..

Not necessary BMW, looking at Jap cars as well. If BMW, why 320 cos its nearer to my budget.

If u r not really into BMW, i would suggest to stay away from BMW.

 

From day 1, i hav been aiming BMW IL-6. However, i only like pre-Bangle era. My E39 is d 2nd ka i bought. I m not a brand whore. I [inlove] BMW IL-6 after driving E36 325 for a wk.

It has to be maintained wif TLC. So that it could perform @ its best. Eg, even though BMW has service indicator (service interval ~ 20,000km), don't follow blindly. Do simple oil change @ 8k - 10k.

 

When d ka reached a certain mileage, need to do replacement of these parts. These maintenance may not b cheap due to a lot of parts involved. Otherwise, bigger hole in d pocket unless don't intend to keep it past 100,000km.

no wad...there are a few manual beemers running around...and no those are not the //M model range..i'm talking about E46 330I,E90 335I etc...i've done several of them already...what a joy to drive! [thumbsup] dunno y they're on a special indent basis only [thumbsdown] i dont call a auto beemer "sheer driving pleasure" no offense guys
