the problem is whenever someone tries to do what do you suggest

 

they get huntam by singaporeans

 

people like the oppositions

 

nobody supported them at all

 

you see when JB pass away they whack him and did not give him chance

 

where are all these people who claim that if someone come out they will stand behind him

 

 

jb died in vain because the many who claims to stand behing him were not around when he need them

 

 

I am not against any policies as such

 

 

why look at people like me to give suggestions

 

isnt the million dollar salary guys suppose to come out with the solution

i started this thread because i read in the papers today a writer wrote that he is ashame of singaporean when he was studying in NZ

Bro sorry to say I dun see any good capable people in opp especially that Chee family is a joke!

 

But I am not saying PAP is perfect too! But to think about it, at least 8-9 out of 10 of their policies help to build this nation to where we are today and there is no such things as a 100% perfect policies to please everyone.

 

Thus I think if you feel there is short fall in some policies, so can try and contribute and voice out within PAP.

 

PAP have those grassroot thingy where you can join them and help to contribute to society.

 

I was once encourange by my customer to join "he is a PAP member in his GRC they have this membership card he show me before " he mention they welcome young blood like me to show them our younger generation view or thought....

 

But I decline as I dun have the time and comitment rather make more $$$

if u can give up everything here and accept what offered by a foreign country (the goods and bads), go ahead..

Bro a nation change leadership too often is not a good thing too as good policies are hard to see through as different Leaders have different view.

 

A good example is China and India!

 

The chinese rule China with an Iron fist! those chinese government have a group of very very smart high IQ think tank to support the old guards! So the old guards come out with good idea to build the nation and see it through.

 

India??? change govenment every 3-5 years all different party foregin investors also scare cause lotsa policies instablity, include thier view on nation building...eg. look at thier infarsturcture different government different idea!

 

Thus both Asia Giant but China as a nation is way way more advance as a nation, society, economic, technology compare with India.

in fact I had personally spoke to PM on one occasion during a cocktail function and he seems ok but dont understand why the policies that are like that

 

 

perhaps it is old folks like me that cannot understand the new leaders - generation gap

 

 

 

some minor example - recession coming - know last year - increase GST, build more ERP, delay retirement age, reserve - loosing billion of dollars on investment that some become ZERO (KOSONG) and not that just reduce in value and when market picks up, value will increase, this is the worse recession and alan greenspan said this is once in a century event - when are they going to use the reserve to help the needy - when do you consider it rainy days and etc

my wish is that we can have the next generation of children who would eventually be our leaders that are responsible just like the old guards

kids boastfully claim what recession, parents got money spend and spend, why worry

 

 

MP daughter, in her blog not too long ago, tekan a man out of job and writing something like he is a parasite of society, imagine what about other children from NON-MP families

 

 

look what is happening to our heartlands, now prostitution is so widespread

 

 

 

I am not upset but just wish forumers can understand, that singapore is my home like you and me, I wish the best (or at least compromise) for everyone here and for our childen including our smoking kakis, if I have the solutions, I would not participate in the forumer posting these facts

 

the fact is that we all wish for the same thing, we dont want a country like the "united colours of benetton" but we all want a decent home call singapore
