Informer Neutral Newbie June 21, 2010 Share June 21, 2010 (edited) Looks like electrical power issue, very intermittent.....u shld use a music that is in sync w ur dashboard blinking.... does ur car has a lot of electrical mods done to it or is any external device connected to the power outlet of the car when this happens? try driving w only the low beam headlight on w no radio/cd player on, n aircon off too...c if ur dashboard blinks.... My car is still stock standard... No modification what so ever... Only UR struts all round, just for the sake of better handling (the x20 got no TC)... Till today, already in-out of SC, 5-6 times, changing fuse box, relays, checking wiring, etc... but SC still can't find the source of the said problem because it's intermittent (doesn't happen when they are testing it)... It will come frequently, and suddenly just goes away as if nothing had happened... Since, they (SC), me, can't find the source, so, I quote it as "my car is haunted"... Was informed, SC is looking into the matter... Still waiting... Sometimes, it's just plain annoying... Video sample of problem... During recording, radio was OFF... Re-edit video, post it on YouTube with background music... Edited June 21, 2010 by Informer ↡ Advertisement
Pisces69 6th Gear June 21, 2010 Share June 21, 2010 This is interesting, if grounding can improve FC, I may want to do it too. Can someone also confirm if they have similar experience after grounding? ================ Grounding has been discussed extensively in the past. Do a search & read more. Sometimes it gives better this & that & sometimes it is even worse & some find no difference. I dont know how others do their grounding but I ground the main items like engine block, throttle body, firewall, lights, autobox, AC & ECU. I may have a smoother engine too with groundings if done properly. My older Corona CD also showed some improvements with FC & smoothness with similar groungings. I dont use those fancy colour cables. Just heavy duty copper electrical wires same as used in your home. My cost in grounding is about <$10 on average as I DIY. ↡ Advertisement
