do you guys notice, Avante's 1.6L engine 121hp and 180N.m [thumbsup]

even higher than Honda Civic 1.8 only 174N.m [:(]

what is the technology used in Anante?

confirm typo error. Hyundai 2L BetaII engine produce 189N.m, the 1.6L Gamma engine on the Avante (Elantra in other part or the world) only produce 15.7kg.m, which is about 154N.m.

think 1.6 honda can cream a 1.6 avante even [laugh]

the many times i tested cerato/avante/i30 to ascertain how ferocious their 121 horses were, all left me disappointed, even a ford focus 100bhp can cream it easily

I think there's different system use by the european and asia car maker to arrive at the bhp figure.

Sorry but I seriously doubt you tested Avante to ascertain it with the ford focus.

I didn't test the cerato/i30 but did so for Avante and Focus, but I don't think the Focus can cream it easily.....in fact I feel the Focus is super sluggish to even compared to the Avante..

Aiya this kind of number error is common. Especially ppl with lousy hadnwritting, 5 looks like 8, 8 looks like 5. Or other ppl write to small and those c--k eye monkey see wrongly. Or it can also be scanner or fax problem, after scanning the small words the 5 can really turn into 8, or 6 into 8.

Btw for any 1.6L NA the torque is around 150Nm plus minus, the powderfullness will depend on the car's weight.

sgcarmart's new car specs are highly questionable @ times. Somehow it seems they do not verify the information that is put up.

tot their editors are car idiots [lipsrsealed]

Ai ya, replace the Hyundai badge and replace it with Honda.. Honda Avante.. Made in Thailand or Japan.. Price the car at 60k, 5k more than current Altis, lets presume Hyundai Avante never exist...

I for one may think tat this Honda Avante can outsell the Toyota Corolla anytime...

Same system as I found out from the discovery turbo channel when they perform dyno testing on some Jap and conti cars. In any ways, the reading are +/- slightly even for some 10 years old stock cars.
