Do you still in contact with your NFS/Reservist buddies?

When I was flipping through the old army photos, whether taken in ROC, Aussie, Brunei or Thailand, they quickly reminded me of the good old days [rolleyes]. Those days we complaint so much about the hardship but we did have "fun" along the way.

Though I'm medically excused for reservist, I would occasionally call up those who are still in service to check on their progress and we sometime meetup and go to those usual places for our favourite dinner dishes. It could a simple breakfast with roti prata too [thumbsup] .

Kinda of miss NS [laugh], crazy isn't it? I guess to some here, reservist mean "holiday camp", away from office politics and naggy wife [gorgeous].

Sorry for mispelling the NFS...Should be NSF...Haha...By the way, what do they call them these days...still NSF?

Regards,

agree...many of those in my reservist unit were also the same guys during active times. So we actually spent almost 15 years together. It's been 6 years since I completed my reservist and I still meet up with a couple of these old pals. The only thing that I dont miss is IPPT.... [flowerface]

Yeah... I still meet them up and they came to my wedding too. Of course, best part is that we stay nearby too. Even though some been transferred to other coy, the strength of buddies still float around us.

A pity that i miss those during my 6SIR 9thMono Intake BMT time during year 1999, C Coy.

I have close friends from my BMT days back in 1997. Thick and thin together, been through most of our life journeys, dating to married to having children. I am so glad that I have met this bunch of life long buddies! [flowerface]

Yes, a big group of us (platoon++ size) meet up at least once a year during CNY period. Usually whoever has the newest house will play host. I'm sure u can guess what we do in the house...haha [laugh]

We also have a Facebook group where we update one another and talk all kinds of crappy c0ck. [:p]

ya, my situation is the same as yours, only did 3-4 ICT then on holding list till mindef says sayonara to me in January [smallcry] ....actually i like ICT , the whole platoon doing it together makes it enjoyable [thumbsup] but with a problem knee, training for 2.4 will cause it to swell....haiz, till MO has to downgrade me.

Wow you enlisted same year as me. I was close to a couple of my Tekong Camp 1 buddies, but not sure why we did not keep close contact after that. I still have their numbers too. Nonetheless, I am still close to the two batches of guys under me, as well as the reservist bunch that I am with now. For that I am really grateful.
