if u are using lexar cards, they have FOC data recovery software (go to www.lexar.com) specifically for lexar cards.

I would still suggest that you print out those impt ones.. I assume your thousand over include those CMI photos that you wouldn't want to see again..

 

guess this is the problem with technology, people just take every single thingy, so now, after every trip, i have the agony with sitting with my other half to select photos to go into our album together with tix studs, receipt or other interesting stuff we got from the trip

frankly, i still have trips taken in 2005 that have yet to be printed and slot into album. take your time..

I got problem with a 16G micro SD card scandisk brand, used in my car camera.

 

I realised that the sd card no longer able to record the car trips.

 

I took it out, slot into my PC to check. I tried to delete files from the card, cannot delete. the PC shows the files are being deleted, but when I go back to the folder again, the files are still there.

 

then I tried to format the card, the PC unable to format it. keep telling me that the format is unable to compete.

 

when I tried to copy and paste a new file into the card, it cannot be done

 

already tried on 2 PCs, but the results are the same.

I already RMA 2 of them. The first time they replaced from Taiwan, same thing happened. 2nd time I rma it, they send a new one from USA. I read that Sandisk has a batch of faulty microsd cards.

Card gone case liao, send for RMA la.

Looks like the cards can't take the the heat built up in our type of weather.

Tried the sd card formatter. it's telling me that the card is write-protected. But micro sd card doesn't have a write protected switch leh....

some options that had worked for me in the past with similar problems; I insert the SD card (from car video) into my Nikon or Samsung camera and do a format from there; try no lost

I have to say this, sandisk sd card is very lousy quality..

 

Avoid at all cost..

If you intend to recover the SD data by yourself, be prepare to run your desktop or laptop for quite sometimes (at least 5 to 10 hours) depend on the size of recovery.

 

I would recommend to use a netbook to do this kind of job.
