Car changing tyre questions

Do you guys buy a cross spanner and a pipe? I encountered this car that has bolts that are too tight to be un tightened. Probably air tightened by mechanics at the workshop. And the wrench that comes with the car is pretty short. Any tips to remove the bolts?

Some cars use bolts to secure the wheels, some others use nuts to secure them

I would loosen and re-tighten each bolt/nut with my hands. In the event there is a need to remove any wheel later, I would not find any too tight for me to handle

If the Tyreman had overtightened the bolt/nut, a cross wheel brace may not always work even if you are quite strong. A pipr extension for leverage is ideal. However, if there is no pipe for extra leverage, use the scissor jack to lift up the wheel wrench instead, if you are not comfortable with jumping on the wheel wrench

It can help to apply a little grease onto the chamfered surface of the bolt/nut before you secured them hand-tight, each time

use spanner to tighten the nuts? you work in bicycle workshop?

I did use a ratchet wrench, which is like a spanner to ensure my nuts are tighten recently when my tires burst. Just lucky to have such tool in my trunk. I find it easier to use than the tool that comes along with the ride.

I'm also lucky to have a long and big spanner for helping to loosen the nuts and some helpful road user who happened to pass by during the change. [:p]
