Sony 1st Gear April 19, 2009 Share April 19, 2009 depends on the car.. some car can get extremely boring after a short period.. some cars just make you want to find chance to drive ard..
Cheesedick 1st Gear April 19, 2009 Share April 19, 2009 Will always be fun for me with every change in route, mod, car, company etc. The key is variety. On some days i even wake at 5-6 am and take long drives to work. Empty roads, cool air, can redline w/o attracting boy racers etc. Anyway, yes, driving is still fun after 15 yrs
Ichibawa 5th Gear April 19, 2009 Share April 19, 2009 Smooth driving is fun. Driving in cool weather is fun. I find that driving in NZ is extremely fun. Too many different things to hear, see, feel even though the highway is only 1up 1 down. Driving in a traffic jam, or with the bugger blinding you with his HID lamps, or with the arse who deliberately speed up when to turn on your indicator to switch lanes, or the idiot change lanes without any signal in close proximity, lastly in hot blazing weather is not fun. Cjgoh Neutral Newbie April 19, 2009 Share April 19, 2009 Ermm.. Here's a little far fetched notion I have about Future Driving; 1) Picture yourself driving up to your block, then walk away from your car, it locks itsef up and drives off itself at a prescribed speed (5-10Kmh) & parks itself at the nearby MSCP level into your designated lot and arms the alarm. Same applies to shopping centers as most buildings will be Smart Buildings. 2) driving on expressways during peak hours will mean being guided by the epxressway's electronic guiding system via a compulsory in-built IU - this means you cannot choose your speed of travel, or how close you want to follow the car in front, and lane selection/switching all done Auto Pilot till you exit the expressway that you key into a panel in your car. Bikes will have their own dedicated lanes isolated from cars. 3) Finding your car after shopping or getting to your car in a heavy downpour will no longer be an issue; your car can come to you from wherever it parked itself. This is all VERY possible, but I must admit that I will be long gone by the time all this becomes reality.

Chrispie 5th Gear April 19, 2009 Share April 19, 2009 i guess it very much depends on what car u drives.. Last time: 1. DAd's E200: just got my license, and its quite fun to drive a merc ard.. i guess at 20, its very much the childish 'haolian' factor.. 2. Financial downturn, sold the merc and got a beat up screeching Toyota corona: Def no fun.. the car screams like mad when u steers doing a 3 pt turn. It rattles and every lose connection in the car just amplifies how bad it is. The aircon doesnt work at times, and it mist the interior! It was the time when i really dread using the car. RAther take public transport.. but it did humbled me and doesnt take money for granted anymore.. 3. 'Upgraded' to a Kia Cerato first generation.. a pt A to B car. Quite happy with it, at least everything works as supposed to be. Just blend into traffic... not much excitement. Only time is when amber lights turn up, u at 3rd arrow, dun know if you shld accel or jz brake. When u floor the car, lotsa engine sound, but car doesnt moves much... haha... 4. Finally, got my Alfa 159 last year. Been eyeing the car for damn long. Fun car to drive, beautiful car to own. (though they say past gen of alfa is much more fun'. Been loving every second driving the car, even in jams. Loves the occasional redlining and aggressive cornerings at secluded area.. Guess will be holding this car for a long time to come.. :) ↡ Advertisement
