peta and z... dd u use the auto headlight function? In certain segment of the road, there may be short tunnels or trees that make the road darker than usual, headlight will auto turn on. After that, auto off when passed. Will this be damaging to the HID? Just read this article...

<

Do not attempt to turn them off right after you have turned them on. HID bulbs normally require 60 seconds just for warming up before they can reach the normal operational temperature. Therefore, if you attempt to turn them off -- also known as short striking -- you will most likely damage them.

Similar to that, you will also damage your expensive HID bulbs if you turn them on right after you have just turned them off. This is also known as hot striking.

Bros that has bought Esquire... is it true that it comes with rear drum brakes?

Voxy and noah front back are discs.

Was thinking why esquire is drum on rear and front is disc in sgcarmart. I think they got it wrong. Logically all triplets have the same parts and this japan website confirms it's disc front and back for esquire.

Thanks for update. Doesn't know about it.

I very hiao. On small and spot in day.

At night just normal big lights without spot.

Seldom on auto. But I do like to toggle small and big Cos can't really tell from inside whether it's small or big lights. Usual toyota.

My friend complaines this voxy led lights too bright. Will always get cursed at by other drivers.

The triplet heights are 1.825m. Lower than 1.9m.

Biante owner has been in marina square carpark and bianye is 1.83m.

http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2661786-mazda-biante-mpv/page-13

Quote from heartlander:

I repost the database from that forum. Hope no copyright issue haha. And do take the list with a bit of salt, like Marina Square is listed at 1.9m in some forum but here as 1.8m. I remember parking my Biante there just a few weeks ago without any problem.

See whether brother heartlander will come and comment.

I just used google streetview to see the carpark entrance there and it seems to show 1.9m, as confirm by the screenshot i posted below.

The best is you look out for the height limit at entrance before entering. Anything below 1.85m is no no. Good thing not many around. Today unlucky encountered one when going Carousel for dinner at Royal Plaza by Scotts at 1.8m. So parked at adjacent building for $3/entry, even cheaper else have to pay $5.50 haha.

Hi all, I am also looking at the triplets. Anyone drive and enter Marina Square car park before? The car park height limit is 1.9m.

Yes tried n tested in Marina Square. Raffles hospital also ok as long as you use the reserved spots near the entry exit n/or the first couple of lots before the next level...there will be a warning n signs to remind you in case

jyst wanted to share n probably this feature is a common in most cars today...the headlights if not on auto n left swiched on after u leave with vehicle off will auto off after some time..bit sure when exactly but when i first bought the car a year ago drove to Desaru n not used to the features accidentlally left the lights on..thankfully next morning car ciuld start n lights were off!! Although light switch was on inside

My friend complaines this voxy led lights too bright. Will always get cursed at by other drivers.

when i first got this car, was pleasantly surprised by the brightness and its white! very nice color, not the ah pek yellow. My wish was yellow and not bright, no confidence if the road was not well lit...there are some roads with only one side street lamps.

A bit of my story with headlights... my old wish yellow light... saw those bmw and conti car white and bright. i go workshop change to HID. Very happy... then went for STA inspection. failed. Was surprised why headlight can fail.. removed the HID and fitted back the lousy yellow light. waste time and money. Thereafter i never fit back. angry... Research online, and realised that only factory installed ones can pass inspection.

Now very happy with the light. Confidence in driving. and pretty color.

My question is, how does STA then judge this is factory installed one? Will they give me fail and ask me change to those lousy yellow light?

Thanks for sharing. Is this stated in the manual? Anyway, it japanese, so even is stated also no idea. haha

Now I understand why sometimes there are cars at carpark entrance that reverse and ask all other in line to also reverse. Must be cos realised at entrance that too tall to enter.

I used to be angry at these cars, thought they fickle minded wanna go somehwere else, and waste ppl time

Bo bian if you have a car that is tall.

Nowadays when I attending some function or need to go certain buildings, I would use carpark apps (SG Parking) to check as carpark height limit is listed in most cases. And also can check out for cheaper rates in neighbourhood, haha.

Thanks, the site says it is rear disc. Sgcarmart is the reason for the question, when comparing to Voxy. Personally interested in Esquire a little more, Voxy not too bad in my opinion.

The app states tanglin mall is 2m. I thought someone here said previously 1.7m. They upgraded their cp?

I just realised my earlier spec is for esquire hybrid. Like what bro z said, different models different disc specs.

Esquire Gi and Xi 2wd 7 seater rear disc is rear drum

Voxy X and V could be different.

Someone asked me... is this a grade better than wish...and where lies isis and pinic. Tough question.

I also asked before mah, and you said it's better than wish in many ways. Does that still stand?

Isis i'm sure is about the same, with maybe 70% of the space. Picinic is not sliding door, and space is maybe 80% of this...

I might consider this. Am trying to convince wife to give this a chance - she had previously ruled it out citing the rear of the car looks so like… you know lah...

What's the height of the car?

Hearse? LOL .... Hearses have gone upmarket and sleeker - more like bloated wagons.. Think MB/Volvo. The tailgate is huge - makes for easy loading/unloading and sunshade. Maybe you can consider the Voxy then. The light clusters may make the rear look less "hearse-like" if that bothers your wife. I've got this in my shortlist - just waiting to see how prices are like after July.

Height = 1825mm. Lower than Biante/Alphard/Vellfire.

I drove pass a coffin car in the morning. Was comparing. The coffin car is lower in height. And the side windows are paranomic. Looks very nice!

So our car is up sized coffin car. Then again the window is totally different. I think our car look like school bus more. New coffin car so pretty now

I trying to rate the cars....

Wish then isis then picnic... then estima. Then alphard. So where does our car stand?

Between isis and picnic? Or same as picnic?

Or totally differnt league since our is the boxy types...
