Just placed an order for the Exora CFE version. Hope to get it in Sep... Ordered the Plum Red colour.... I like!

Just to share with you some issues I faced during the delivery of new vehicle...

Maybe this is one a sort of issue..... but anyway check throughly during delivery...

1. Noticed 2 dents on the top after I brought back the vehicle home. Since the following day was Sunday, took the vehicle back immediately on Monday and they agreed to correct and repaint the whole top. Gave back the vehicle to me the next day.

2. Squeezing sound upon pressing on the right hand side above the front tyres as the fitting was not tight.

3. The cleaning was not proper. Watermarks and one of the inside plastic pillar was having dirt and marks of grease etc

Hi bros

I just checked Proton Exora bodykit (full set, front, side, rear) about rm1.2k with installation and spray paint can whatsapp you the pic and name card... They have the original exora bodykit which is slightly cheaper than 1.2k

Basic sound proofing material means the cheapest for 4 doors is RM200+ less than 300, and the front arc is about rm120 for one pair i believe.

solar film, basic one os RM280 for whole car...

so just give you the indicative price... cheers

Can pm me address of the shop? Thanks

Hi sis got any Proton armrest? Not the universal type but rather fit into the cup holder type

If you are not particular for a new one, I have one cup holder type which I was using for my Old Exora.

Selling as it is not compactable with the Bold due to the inbuilt Armrest.

Minor damage on the opening hinges. Interested msg me.

Lately my exora kept on shown the ABS and ! signs. Anybody encounter these problems? What should I do?

Yup, I experience that. What I did I went back to Proton Service Centre to have it fixed. I understand that Exora 2009 model will have such an issue.

sometimes the car ecu just go bonkers, there might not be a real fault...

to solve this bring to sg or msia service centre and get the ecu reset to clear the fault code .. shldnt be any real faults... sometimes just computer go bonkers... if your car under warranty then send back if not have to take not that you may have to pay for them to reset the ecu of the car... might not be cheap, but if you faithfully do your servicing there, then they will just charge you a small fee...

but that is why i stop going to sg and jb agent to do... i found a good workshop that has the computer device to read ecu... and the guy does reading for free.. and the guy will check if there is any faulta if its just the computer that went bonkers he will just clear the fault code for me and for that i get free checks and a free service, just that i do all my servicing there thats why we have a good client relationship.... perodua sg charges me $40 for consultation fee and $60 to use ecu to reset even no repair is done and the $40 is to check to see if the abs etc is ok... perodua jb charges me rm40-60 for the same service sigh... each time you bring your car there you have to pay even no real worksis done...

alternatively if your car has no warranty and you dun wish to spend the money then what you can do is to disconnect one side of your batt for about 10mins or 30mins to be very sure it gets reset then reconnect back, your car ecu shld be reset, then see if the light still come on, if it still comes on, that means your abs is really faulty, if it doesnt come on then it means your car is ok

Thanks Iz_exora, Singapore or Malaysia proton service centre? How much do they charge you? You are right, mine is year 2009 model. My FC is very high, 11L/ 100km. Any suggestion to improve it?

I send to Proton Singapore service centre which is now runs by TTS Eurocars in Sin Ming. Since my ride is still on warranty no charges incurred. Is your Exora still on warranty? If your warranty is already over then I would suggest that you call them to enquire or go up north to fix it.

FC wise 11L/100 km? How is your route. If it is 50% Urban and 50% highway and 75% of the time is fully loaded, I think it is acceptable. Not sure if other bro in mcf will agree with me or can share with us the FC improvement tips. :D

Fuel saving tips:

1. Every 10k servicing: Send your car for wheel alignment cos when your alignment is off the petrol burns faster, then do tyre rotation and wheel balancing to pro-long the tyres life and to have a better ride

2. Make sure you inflate your car tyres once in two weeks or at least once a month, if your tyres not enough air will also burn petrol

3. Use better spark plugs

4. Dun ramp your accelerator at take off and try maintaining your speed at 80km/h - 90km/h. Drive relax relax like me

5. Change your air filter to hurricane or K&N, you will find an increase in power and better fuel consumption, also cos of increase in power you do not rev so much cos the paper filter are thicker so lesser air comes into the throttle... If you really want to modd cheaply for more power, then i recommend installing a larger tube for more cold air intake, your car will perform better..... (i bought from my workshop OEM hurricane filter, Hurricane Filter is $120 sing for my car, I paid RM125 for mine and it works the same way as the hurricane one, made in USA, may wanna consider)

6. Don't leave HEAVY stuff in the car if not using them

Lastly DO NOT buy addictive to pour inside your petrol tank. I see people buy some fuel thingy that cost like $20 to pour inside the fuel tank and say that WOW your mileage is better.... $20 can pump 10 litres of petrol at $2/litre after discount and with 10 litres, say you can travel 10km/litre that is extra 100km.. then its the same isn't it? Unless you buy to clean carbon and fuel injector then okay...
