Gen2 and Satria Neo owners only get the older Campro engine...... The CPS engine produces 125HP and its one of the most powerful 1.6L around already........ With tweaks it can hit 145HP easily (the R3 version of the Neo is 145HP. same engine). how i wish i know where 'tweaks' my ride to get the 145HP.. heee Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Salesperson called me inthe afternoon inform me that the reverse camera not good... want my opinion if I will still be willing to collect the car if TTS cannot fix it by Friday. I told him do his best to push TTS, even if it means asking them to tear the camera from their showroom unit for me... And finally, he informed me that TTS will fix it for me before i collect my car! Me too also got a hard time to decide between Camry or 3er n eventually go with bimmer looking at the high COE. Meganut 2nd Gear August 8, 2012 Share August 8, 2012 There is a proton savvy 1.2M brother that is closely related to us in the Kelisa Club (also known as Perodua Club Sg)... his 1.2M is powerful and with the right hands behind the wheels can flat any 1.5 cars... the Savvy 1.2M drives like a 1.4.... since you want to take the manual route i say go for savvy, if auto then kelisa... i used to drive a getz 1.3A btw and my best friend a girl also drives a picanto 1.1M and another of my guy friend drives a 1.1A... honestly we felt picanto 1.1A drives better than the 1.1M, our personal opinion and the getz is the worst.. anyway we sold all our cars cos 1 got a 'chauffer', and i got a perodua more like an upgrade... the guy still driving his picanto... anyway if you go for manual, get the savvy, its alot bigger in boot and seating in my opinion, the picanto boot is quite small Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mandrew 1st Gear August 9, 2012 Share August 9, 2012 guys whats the difference between the Bold CPS and Bold CFE??? (bold cps is the facelifted version of the old model?) Bold CPS is a minor facelifted version of the earlier model. Minor differences here and there compared to the earlier version but the engine and the rest are the same (no visible changes). The visible differences are mainly the Body kit (with different look for the Front Bumber with Air ventilators) and the Roof DVD Player. The Main difference between BOLD CPS and CFE. CFE comes with Turbo engine with increased Power & Torque and CVT Gear box. The CFE release in Singapore comes with DVD Roof player, Body kit, Dual tone Leather seats, Auto retractable side mirrors, rear view LCD with reverse Camera, All Disc Brakes (CPS Bold is using Drums for rear), Auto Cruise, Fog lamps and a 16inch rims compared to 15inch in CPS BOLD. I'm not sure whether the sound proofing for CPS BOLD is also same as the CFE. If yes, then it is very good compared to the earlier CPS version. And the price difference between the two is within 10k. Meganut 2nd Gear August 9, 2012 Share August 9, 2012 the thing i didnt like about getz is that servicing with komoco became increasingly expensive when the car hit 3 yr old... thats why i moved to msia car cos the getz was a drinker... full tank never more than 320km.. i get 8km per litre very jialiat... not sure abt rio but my friends seems to be enjoying their manual rios one is the older and the other the newer verision, not much problems in general Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was also looking at the second hand market and concluded that whatever you have out there is coming with a margin which is too obscene for a second hand car... I am buying the Exora with my eyes wide open. I know of the possible issues or flaws to be expected. With a very young family (eldest girl 16 months & twins who are less than 3 weeks old, with a maid) like mine, I will definitely need a reasonable sized MPV, without stretching my own finances too thin... I used to drive Ford Laser 1.6A, then Getz 1.3A, then the old Nissan March 1.0M (for 4 months) before buying my Perodua Viva 1.0A.... I never regret my purchase... There were 4 cars that i nearly bought were the S60, Freed, exora and Kelisa.... My dad said NO to the S60, Freed and Exora because we already have 3 other conti cars at home that time of which one is a 7 seater, so he doesnt like the idea of me spending too much money on a car and conti car maintenance is very costly plus having 3 cars at home already there was "no need" for another LARGE vehicle (the exora and freed are 7 seaters), so he insist that I buy a smaller car cos I drive me myself and alone.... and he doesnt want me to go out with friends and be a chauffeur (which is already happening).... So i say if thats the case I only left with Perodua Kelisa that i really liked... my dad's concern is safety because he feels that the chances of me getting robbed in a Honda Freed is higher than a Perodua or Proton, so he says buy Msia car, plus servicing etc is cheap At the day of the signing, my best friend and i bought a pair of Kelisa, one auto, the other manual, then my mum says NO to the Kelisa and insist that I buy the Perodua Viva cos it looks bigger BUT it was 10k more expensive.... she prefers the viva cos it has twin airbags which the Kelisa and Picanto didnt have so I relent... My friend is still driving his kelisa and I am driving my viva... Both msia car are going strong and both cars celebrated its 4th bday last week.... I can dare say that my car is trouble and problem free, only normal and major servicing (which is replace coolant timing belt etc) for the last 4 years..... other than that never really change anything except battery and 6 months back had to replace engine mounting which is also wear and tear.... unfortunately the workshop inexperienced staff damaged my throttle sensor by accident when he was cleaning the whole throttle body.... though the sensor can be replaced cheaply but i decided that I would want to replace a whole throttle body (comes with new sensors) plus finding the fault etc for $400 in msia and now my car is like brand new.... in the 4 years it gave me no problems whatsoever, never break down before.... likewise for all my kelisa, kenari and savvy friends... our msia cars are trouble free.... we dun have overheating problems or whatsoever unlike my friend's china car which he spend about 16k repairing it in the first 2 years... (alternator, engine etc)... In 4 years i only spend $400 for a man-made error and ringgit for normal servicing which regardless which car i drive also have to service, i think its still quite cheap... and most important my car is problem free.... i service my car in Proton workshop in the earlier years and Proton cars generally have no problem... when my car turn 10 years old, I will consider buying an exora, cos i really like hatch and i really like big cars... Exora is a big hatch (no boot sticking out and have extra 2 seats behind best value for your money...) buy with confidence and drive with ease... Brother Franchua, there is serious flaws or problem with your car that malaysia cannot fix with a few ringgit... less than RM400 you shld be able to fix up all the problems that you may face).... now you have a mode of transport to take you and your family around and best of all, you can go on a holiday ANYTIME you want... the chances of other makes getting their cars stolen is higher than Proton or Perodua (i know cos my uncle owns the second biggest 2nd hand car workshop in KL, the robbers go for the other make first, then local cars... which is why his wife got robbed in a Honda Accord and BM 5, while no one target her when she drives a myvi) Edited August 9, 2012 by Meganut ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
