Well said Sis Meganut!

Yeh, one of the consideration is also I usually have to make 2 trips to Malacca & KL annually cuz my wife is a malaysian... Figured that Proton car will be lesser of a target for car thieves... And makign a road trip with yound kids can be quite a nightmare... Now, the exora has got DVD to keep them entertained and the aircon on the second and third rows are definitely a plus point.

I almost got a Hyundai Elantra before I found out I got twins. cuz with the price and the features, really hard to resist. After I found out my wife was expecting twins, got quite a headache to decide which car to buy to fit my young family in... until one day, i was on the road and saw an exora... i remembered i was commenting "Who would buy such a car"... until i read up about it online and decided that this is just the car for me! From then on, no looking back... I went to showroom... my family like the car. The only gamble I took back then was to bet that COE will drop since it was mid of June... When it didn't and went up slightly, i decided not to wait and got my COE... Very excited now!

Planned many trips to make over the weekend with my new car! :)

Bro Panhard,

Found out the source to my wiper..

When to electrical shop to trace the problem.

To my horror, my wiper motor soak with water..

The mechanic also scratch head how can water enter the motor.

Cos me RM320 for a brand new wiper motor that is made and QA pass in India..

I suspect water may have got in thru the wiper cowling when car washing by high pressure spray. Do you do car washing very often?

Ya when I checked my wiper motor then to re-do the linkage... Was also surprised to notice that the original wiper motor made in India too.

Now in Melaka til sat. Visiting my in-law. Will be going to proton edar tomorrow. Anyone of you guys need service items for your exora, eg. Oil filters, air filter or spark plugs.. Just let me know, will see what I can do.

Going to check my wheel alignment , rotation & balancing of all tyres, only rm48. This shop is the only one so far that can solve my steering wobble problem with his tyre balancing skill. So many I tried in SG didn't know how to solve it and cost me double the amount.

the thing i didnt like about getz is that servicing with komoco became increasingly expensive when the car hit 3 yr old... thats why i moved to msia car cos the getz was a drinker... full tank never more than 320km.. i get 8km per litre very jialiat... not sure abt rio but my friends seems to be enjoying their manual rios one is the older and the other the newer verision, not much problems in general

Can't believe that you are doing 8km per litre for a Getz Manual? Did you upsize the tyres? I thought Getz would be better than Savvy and Rio.

I guess he is driving a super Getz..... Even my Satria Neo 100% city driving can achieve 12KM/L......

your neo is manual... auto usually dun achieve better fuel effieceny or speed compare to a manual, you mean you dunno that? thats why most evo or wrx are manual...

besides if you are observant enough nowadays there are hardly many 1.3A getz ard nowadays...most getz are the newer 1.4A or 1.1M... hyundai knows of this problem thats why they changed to 1.4A later and stop selling the 1.3A....

Hyundai matrix have a drinking problem too for the older ones... 1.6A are about 7-9km/litres, two of my relatives and friends own one each, all 4 matrix have this problem... Ford Laser and the older Nissan Sunny (2002-2005) are also drinkers including the manual ones... most of the older Nissan Sunny (not the common one you see these days which is the facelifted version (for the common ones) most car owners then who drove manual is about 10km-12km/litre...

so dun let this info of an auto getz shock you leh.. all these are common drinkers leh hahaha.... later hyunda started making fuel friendly car called avante... avante is fuel friendly doesnt mean getz is, two different cars.. the getz has heavier body bte

p/s: in case some of you dunno what does A or M means, A means auto, M means manual... 1.3A means 1300cc Auto.. fyi

Folks! Driving my EB CFE for second day now! Love every ride I took in it...

Not much grouses on the call. The polishing by TTS quite sucks... got lines and all... but anyway, these are cosmetic so I dun really care.

The petrol tank cover was a bit misaligned (not flushed with the body)... noted down on the form and was informed that they will align it during 1k servicing.

Been playing with the various aspects of the car... One thing that was really strange is the radio... Although I preset the channels, there was once that the whole unit got reset and all the programming was gone... and then there was twice when the radio just off by itself while driving... i suspect short circuit somewhere... will highlight it during first servicing...

Other than that, I absolutely love the car! Pick up was good, power good, ride smooth! I call it my "Ang Kong Kong" Princess... if number come out lagi good! hahahaha.... [laugh]

Yes. The steering wheel control works well with the HU.

Even the start up screen has the proton logo.

They do solar films too and all kinds of body kits esp. the m'sian.made cars.

He quoted me exora complete body kit with spray paint & fitting RM850.

The door mouldings set with spray paint RM195. Will fit that next round.

You are right about proton car being lesser target. Every time I go back Melaka to visit my

in-law. I never fear when going out or park my exora for meals and shopping cos no body

even bothers or

look at my exora cos some many already on m'sian roads. That's the plus point. :D
