it seems that my petrol consumption have gone up.I'am using 5w30 enging oil! Anyone here have the same problem pls share.

any 30 weight engine oil is best for the exora, a syn one would be even better.

using 98 does help improve FC.. but dont expect to have good FC if you do alot of short distances & city driving.

i'm a heavy user... my FC has always been on the low side. 9-10km/l..

i think i wanna try change my spark plugs to iridium.. hope it help a little.. and maybe try to reduce some load in the car.

the only thing i can think of is change the front two seat to sports seats.. much lighter.. remove my spare tyre (risky).

has anyone did the 'Cold' air intake in JB before?

honestly, changing to iridium spark plugs or high flow air filter is not going to improve FC very much...

on the other hand, you ,may want to try increasing tyre pressure to see.

what is this "COLD" air intake thing? -maybe you can give more details

try again and put your cheque book on the table, maybe they will listen.

or ask a pi to bring in for you, but looks like you may have to pay more omv.

i tried ask at ubi showroom, if i can order manual, it is ok if need longer time, but they said can not :(

i wonder what reason behind it.

because they have manual version before.

it is not like the other brand that have manual in origin country, but never bring in to singapore.

if someone have connection with proton singapore and can help me to get manual version, please pm me :)

currently, their existing stocks are all auto, they dont intend to bring in any more manual-cos there was some clutch pedal noise on the manuals here which has no solution.

anyway have stopped going to Proton Spore to do servicing since they started sub-letting their aftersales to TTS group

at sin ming. Cos their charges are much higher & less personalised.-their main support is for fiat cars only.

at my 20k svcs with them, they used the ows dexron 3 to replace the atf fluid on the auto transmission. however, the owners manual strictly states use only proton atf SP3 specs. when wrote to them about this issue- no firm reply at all.

honestly, dont know if the latest batch of manuals still have this problem-- anyway not many manuals compared to autos too in "Boleh" Land. Most of the early batch of manual owners already got use to it so they just let it be.

Since mine is a OPC i seldom drive everyday,Once i top up my fuel to full tank the next top up will be 2 wks later.I always top up when the gauge shows half tank. But during this process for a distance of 300 km it shows avg consumption 10.9l/100km.i just recently change to a K&N filter lets monitor and see. [;)]

how much tyre pressure should i set for front and back?

tyre profile for now is 195/60/16

Cold air intake.

the one i use to do and other usually do is have a funnel and direct to outside far from the hot engine area

to take in cold air to our air filter.

but this 'indonesian' air intake they actually tap the cold air from the aircon hose.. so its naturally cold air despite the hot weather outside.. plus the air is 'cleaner' compare to outside air(dusty).

i've yet to see it personally, but this guy order it from Indonesia and install it to the msia exora forumers.

for COld are intake, pick up does improve as i've install the standard cold air intake on my old honda fit.

I personally noticed that i get better FC when my fuel tank is not full. think its because of the extra weight you carry.

maybe you can just keep the tank half filled most time--since so many petrol kiosk around. that is one way you can get better FC.

front- 230, rear 250---these readings when cold

yes! cold intake air does help, cos night/cool weather driving can always feel that car is more responsive
