Meganut 2nd Gear February 21, 2012 Share February 21, 2012 (edited) Hi brothers, Just to let you know that i drive a Perodua and I used to go to Proton service centre at Skudai for servicing cos their mechanics are super awesome and amazing... but i cant go there now, cos dunno which proton person went to write a complain to the head office that me and my perodua friends are going there too often and taking up their slots for proton.... sigh... so now protons can only service proton cars....... sigh.....so now i LLST go back to a good mechanic and AD in JB... anyway if anyone needs to go in, can let me know, will try to arrange as a group outing and i can bring you guys there... cos its quite hard to find, if i give you address you guys sure lose the way one... just want to share good tips and lobang with you guys if you all need cos like all of you Protonist, we Peroduaers are consider a rarer breed of car owners and most of our problems can be easily solved in JB... like certain things i bring to workshop in SG, either they damn sian to do or they not exactly familiar with the car and even parts like brake pads they may not have ready stocks, some of the workshop ask me go back jb and do, can you believe it? hahaha... Anyway I am a strong believer in the workmanship and quality of johor workshop, esp those that i know... I did 20k servicing in Proton in 2009... for the following: Semi Synth Oil Change (they sold me in a 4 litre bottle) Spark Plugs Brake pads Engine flush ATF flush ATF oil Brake Oil Coolant Power steering Oil Battery Water All in with labour about RM370 And my car handles beautifully and it was so nice... i really missed the workshop there :(((((( I was going in and out JB every week over the last 6 weeks... wont be going so soon at this point... will keep you boys updated.... if you guys are interested to know, I can bring you guys to an automart to find armrest, speakers, head unit, leather seats and soundproofing... the trick in JB is to go further outskirts and the trick is to go to various shop to ask... certain things cannot too adventurous cos need to make sure the person doing it got standard also esp when it comes to wiring and engine... :)))) I will be organizing an annual trip to Batu Pahat for tyre and rims shopping... can lemme know if you guys are keen to come along... but take note that our cars are very small, we can only do like 90km/h so if you want to drive at 140km/h, dun think can follow us cos we cant catch up hehehehe... We at Perodua are a bunch of helpful and friendly people.... My buddies have contacts for Brendix brake pads, Kayaba absorbers etc, if you guys need any parts for your car can lemme know, i can pm you my friends in SG contacts, they are very nice can help you to buy cos they go to JB very often... anything or what, feel free to let us know, cos we been chionging JB for the last 3-4 years so we are quite familar, and we will be glad to be able to help.... do join us for our monthly meet up.... Have fun with your ride Edited February 21, 2012 by Meganut
