Should be China-made system. It's quite well known among drivers. Its main difference from other DVR-based system is that it has motion sensor and thus, when there is movement around the vehicle, it would activate and start taking video clips. Let me check if I can find out the model. Do note that I believe an external batt is required instead of tapping from main vehicle batt. This is to prevent total drain and vehicle can no longer start. The storage I think should be HDD or SD card. Don't be surprise that you need to maintain it regularly like housekeep the storage, bring the external batt home to charge and swap.
Achtung 6th Gear May 25, 2009 Share May 25, 2009 Must show that f-er scratching... and date time stamped too. Else inadmissible. Video that only captured the person's face is not good enough. You need to capture the "act".

Mikeyeo Clutched May 25, 2009 Share May 25, 2009 Does anyone think that the scratcher after being caught and fined in court, will stop doing such nuisance act of mischief? I doubt so. There ought to be something wrong with such people. He/she might perhaps feel the sence of 'shiok' by so doing. Though the culprit might be fined S$x but who gets the money? The government right! The vehicle owner has to foot out their own money to repray the damages or even the whole vehicle depending on the severity of the scratches. I feel that part of the monetary penalty that the court imposed on the culprit ought to pass over to the victim to make-good their vehicle damages or include a reasonable sum to the victim. However, I am of the opinion that the government ought to impose a law to sent such culprit for psychological analyse to ascertain why he/she did it. From the finding, the court will then access the extent of punishment such as fines and or include caning and sent the culprit for psychiatric and/or psychological treatments. I believe that such action impose by the court will deter any so-offenders from attempting to perform such act of mischief. As for the in-car survellence camera, I recently read in a magazine that such devices are already available. One supplier is CISCO where the device is connected to the car battery and wattage consumption is very low. Anyone who wants to purchase such device can also enquire with those companies that sell survellience camera or CCTV motion detector.
