Hi, a new & happy Sylphy owner here!

Can i check with you all, if anyone here did the ceramic pro h9 coating? Does it really lessen the watermark, swirl marks and enhance the shine? Thanks

welcome to the club! Enjoy the sylphy ride  [smash]

For me, did not do any polishing or ceramic coating with the new Sylphy.

Saw this promo in Groupon, not sure is it worth going for it? Anyone can advise? http://www.groupon.sg/deals/dealbank_en_sg/new-age-polish-pte-ltd/720900232

Went for 2nd servicing and complained about the aircon again. Earlier blew out warm air in one unit, they did some programming and it solved the problem. Months later, problem comes, this time don't know what they had done with the programming, the aircon is much much colder than before even setting at 23 or 24 deg, good! Earlier the car also seem no power, or picking up, especially when climbing high hump. This time they did some programming to the car again and the car is more 'powerful' now.  [laugh]

I did the ceramic pro ace coating at their yishun branch last week.

Must book a slot first from the boss because there is a long queue list on wait. I had to book mine about 1 week in advance.

So far can only comment on the water beading. Fantastic. You can take a magnifying glass and still see perfect round droplets of water at the microscopic level.

It's official... methinks they actually managed to get it right this time.

I prefer the existing front grill. The new one makes it looks like qq or x trail, not suitable on a sedan.

The steering wheel looks cheap. The interior is better only if it has more storage.

I also did the ceramic pro 9h, 5 layers. I would not say it is not good, but the money spent can also be used on a mid life respray.

Hi bro,

Do share with us on the outcome of the speakers as I am quite interested to get one.

Cheers

Installed the speakers yesterday. Not too diffcult to do, but I don't quite like the result.

The tweeter is too loud for my liking. I propbably need to add a resistor to attenduate the volume.

I've ordered cheap tweeters off eBay before, and the usual problems are two things. First, the drivers are of very poor quality. Proper silk dome tweeters are more expensive and less harsh. Second, the crossovers are terrible. They are usually cheap capacitors.

Don't waste time and buy proper tweeters with proper crossovers.

The ones I got is not too bad, just that the volume is too loud. With a good crossovers it should solve the problem.

Hi all,

Just collected my Sylphy 1.6 last wednesday and notice that when I drive off from traffic light, I'm actually light footed and normally accelerate with RPM between 1.5-1.8K, when the car's speed reaches between 40-50 km/h with the RPM hovering around 1.5-1.8k, there is always a slight jerk and RPM will swing to 2K and back to 1.5-1.8k causing the jerk.

Went to TC BT Timah and the service consultant's reason to me is the engine does not have enough power to shift to the next higher gear thus causing the jerking. I'm wondering if any bros driving this model are having the same effect and it is not a defect?

Cheers

Collected sylphy today, played back the provided in-car camera sd card on home pc, the resolution is not sharp at all.

Thinking of changing but noticed that the front cam has a connection to the HU, bros here any recommendation for a cam with similar connections? Thanks.

Imo, i think ur rev is not light footed. Read somsomewhere before that hv a smooth n constant 2-3s speed to slowly build up ur power.

For a cvt newbie, it might b common to rev hard at the initial gears but this will drag d gearchange.

Sharing my perspective s this is my second experience driving a cvt. Even on my current ride, i also sometimes tend to be heavy foot in my initial gears. Nvm, u will get more used to it overtime.

Just curious, what is ur mileage for your first few tanks? Tks..

Hi Eug1388,

I'm still with my first tank and only driving it from home to work and vice versa. Work place is not very far from where i stay and current mileage is only 200+..
