When Spore H1N1 Flu Outbreak: 969 total cases.

They say WHO: Spread of swine flu is 'unstoppable'...

 

Probably one reason here... why it is speading so fast...

In Japan , Taiwan and HK...when people have flu....they are social responsiblle to put on a mask to prevent spreading...(they're very automatic)

 

Over here.... people are not educated to put on mask when they have flu...

as and when like to cough and sneeze in the air..... like public places and mrt....

 

why spreading so far here......what's your view? or our garment not working hard enough?

btw..japan... at a start also the number shoot up fast (rate of increase at start)...but seems had contain the situation...

Culture is one thing but Govt attitude also....Half hearted implementation....Cancel all events with mass gatherings but NDP and AYG carry on.... just look at the opening ceremony....potential spread zone....in school all morning assy cancel, but recess and lunch (where large grp of students congregate still carry on)....all CCAs cancelled except those preparing for competition.....

 

Private sector especially SME even better....give them paid sick leave for 7 days who work for me?? so unless really severe flu symptons, most employees just report to work and spread the virus...

 

how to stop it from spreading?? All I can hope for is that it doesn't mutate into a deadly form.

The MOE should setup a national health campaign to launch public awareness campaign (e.g TV ad) to change the people paradigm, to educate the mass public to wear mask if they are sick or have flu.....(rather than coughing & sneezing to the air). This is also been socially responsible.

I believe most of the cases are transmission from our public transport system.

Shortly after the virus started spreading, our alert was up to orange, then subsequenly downgraded to to yellow. Now close to a thousand case, have MOH gone colour blind?

actually singapore population density is so high, so the fast spreading shouldn't come as a surprise...

Should just follow UK lead... Treat instead of Containment.... This is actually just a stronger version of normal flu that is not deadly at all... Quarantine and all tat will only create more inconvinence.

My doc told me many ppl died from common/seasonal flu annually too..

Esp. those parents calling close school lah or some idiot suggest postponing this or that events.. it just a bloody flu.. a new strain given..

in aussie my sis there... tamiflu tabs are useless already ... already mutated.

 

sooner or later see how it goes ba....

hope jus turn into a common flu, and cure easy.

think abt it... if u got ganna H1N1, ambulance fee hosp check up fee and if quantine at chalet those fee... goes to patient?
