Dwoon 1st Gear July 31, 2009 Share July 31, 2009 Its a half day tour taking about 3 to 4 hours. Its a standard itinery for the boats and you'll see others going to & fro...... its usually done in the mornings, when the eagles come out to feed. Too late and they won't be there. Rain also will be bad... for by booking there, you can don't go if the weather is bad. (payment made only at jetty mah) They can squeeze 10 or so in each boat, but I prefer privacy and not having to jostle for space that has good views. how many pax to a boat may i ask??? if goin to all tis POI, how long it takes?? whole or 1/2 dy? Quantum 5th Gear July 31, 2009 Share July 31, 2009 driving at langkawi is very enjoyable and rant car is very cheap
Horsee Clutched July 31, 2009 Share July 31, 2009 Actually, I did all my booings wen I arrived. The hotel people all moonlight and you can bargain on the tour rates when there. Much cheaper. Like I booked one boat to ourselves (only 3 of us) and paid like RM$280 for the eagle feeding, fish farm, bat cave tour. If you go by per head, it'll be slightly more expensive and you squeeze with other people on the boat. Where & which hotel to get his lobang?? btw, any site to print out the map for driving there? We will be staying at Pelangi.. TIA.
Dwoon 1st Gear August 1, 2009 Share August 1, 2009 (edited) When at Pelangi, there's a car rent/tour booking counter in the lobby. Look for the guy worker there (not boss) and he will have the lobangs for cheaper car rent or eagle feedings tours, etc. remember, it is negotiable...... If you're bringing your notebook there, internet is RM$20 per day using their stored value card. Most likely your room will not be able to get any signal so you'll need to be in the lobby to surf. http://www.langkawi-online.com/pages/langkawi-map.php Best to have GPS with all the POIs inside.... then you can go visit waterfalls, etc.... Pelangi is close to the airport and a short drive to Cenang which has lots of food outlets and those shops lining the street (like Patong but on a smaller scale) There are also other tour counters when you're walking around town/Cenang, etc..... do enquire with them and try to bargain. Tourism in Langkawi has gone down alot and many are quite desperate for business. If price is not right, just walk away........ Sir8 Neutral Newbie August 1, 2009 Share August 1, 2009 I would think virtually all tourist spots will have "agents" selling tours. I was lunching at this chinese restaurent and the owner there was promoting this and that tours. ↡ Advertisement
