weird.. why R5800 not listed in papago.com.sg?.. [sweatdrop]

You go taiwan website see got this model. It is under the "large screen" category and I see the spec the processor is using 500Mhz processor as compare to the 4.3" model which is using the 400Mhz processor. So I think should be faster. Saw at SPC just now not bad and the stock is from east gear cos I saw the label "warranty by east gear" on the box. Quite tempted to get one. But need to sell away my Garmin 200W anyone keen? Tip top condition, downloaded with latest Singapore/Malaysia map and POI. PM me your offer. Used about 6 months. Comes with box. This is the USA model so no local warranty but so far I use no problem. PM me your best offer but not too ridiculous pls [flowerface]

Just bought and tested out the unit. The functions are not as much as Garmin but is easier to use. Big screen is also a plus. Only thing is the Garmin has a brighter LCD and a louder voice. But it is bright enough and loud enough for me. But dun like the touch screen cos very rough like sand paper [flowerface]

I tested it against the Garmin and dare say Garmin is more accurate than Papago. My brother-in-law and I both set the same coordinates and started off with him leading. Throughout the journey, he kept turning into small lanes while my GMXT just handled all the detours with ease with re-cal. When we reached the destination, he said he was just following the instructions on his Papago.

BTW, his map is a newer version compared to mine, so that's my verdict. [thumbsup]

better avoid gps with mapking software. after eastgear no longer support mapking, its like crap now. no new map updates for a long time already. i went to their website and its really lousy.

Ya the Garmin is faster in the tracking but when come to searching for POI or address my papago is faster. I tested it against my old 200W. Accuracy wise both are the same in term of coordinates but when come to junction the Garmin will show 0m when reach the start of the junction before you turn and the papago will show a few meters before you turn, the distance will reach 0m after you complete the turn which is a bit mis leading to me at first. <_<

You don't need eastgear maps. Just get the maps of the malfreemaps forum.
