ASk singtel staff , they said no news of releasing at the moment .. was hopping that the price will drop too Buy the real thing....get a Blackberry Bold. Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 5, 2009 Share October 5, 2009 Ya that's what i feel too. It could be $26 in the end. You need to give ST a call to them I'm glad i'm with starhub now. Their data pricing is so simple. pay $x get x amount. overshoot it then there's a certain rate and after you hit a $ cap so no matter what your data won't exceed the capped rate. Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 5, 2009 Share October 5, 2009 I have just ask Singtel.. its yr monthly plan (eg ione plus bill) plus additional of $5.25 for the data plan. Data plan is 200mb each month. She said for E71 would not exceed for light user as screen is smaller as to compared to iphone. She's trying to smoke you. Its usage and not screen real estate that counts. Where do u download garmin XT for E71 ? Is it free ? Can use it offline too ? Sorry for being specific. me not IT term trained . THanks for so many advice too Google "Garmin XT symbian install" and read through what you can find. Look through the various blog posts and you'll find your answer. Lets just say that by right, its a paid software. I also wrote how to update the firmware earlier. go reaad through my posts, there's only one that said Nokia PC Suit

Ahyoo2002 2nd Gear October 6, 2009 Share October 6, 2009 Good question. That was what it shows. But when i was at Hello, i was told that $178 is exculsively with data plan. $5 monthly addtional. If no data plan, it's $298. Find it quite steep for a relatively old phone considering the newer one is coming out soon. The $5 data plan is suitable for light users. In the end, didn't go for E71 though i know it really is good. Got the iphone instead. You are right. I tried to select the phone is Singtelshop.com, it said must add the Nokia ... VAS which is about $5. $298 for this phone is indeed not worth it. Too bad have to wait till next month liao and hopefully there is still stocks for iPhone. Abit more you can get the BB Bold already. Ya i agree that ST is smoking to say it is according to the screen size. What crap is that. It is how you surf the net. Goodness. But both E71 and Iphone are good phones. Depends on what you looking for in your next phone Edited October 6, 2009 by MLS

Ghostrider 3rd Gear October 6, 2009 Share October 6, 2009 Fpr those that uses data a lot, do take a look at Blackberry as it save you money. The data compression is excellent and so far I surf and receive emails (with attachments) I have yet to breach the 1G allocation. (Blackberry Bold 9000) Last time dun even wanna try Blackberry is due to the reason that the sub is damn expensive...but now its much cheaper. BTW...dun bother about Stinktel....plans is damn blardy expensive.... My usage no change... i2Plus...paying around $110-$130 every month (voice and SMS & light surf data) Now on Starhub 700....every month is around $100 only (voice + SMS + premium data at 1G) ================================================ E52 if the E51 is anything to go by.... Good points Stylish and handy design Easy to use Good battery life Wifi, 3G Push Mail Great Youtube widget Simple and effective mini USB for data transfer Bad point Size does matter...reading email especially attachment is a pain in the bum !! (small screen) No Qwerty. reading email is ok....banging out full reply takes lots of movitation. Need a seperate jack to charge battery...why cannot use mini USB to charge while sync with computer ? Parkingidiot 1st Gear October 6, 2009 Share October 6, 2009 Hi hi I have bought E71 few hrs ago.. se free wifi to googlemaps liao.. now off wifi .. can u guide me how to retrieve the googlemap that I went ? thanks ! Just use the map function... is an icon of a Map .. is found in the GPS folder. once you start the maps application, you see the google earth globe. Just scroll to the required country, eg singapore, and zoom in. The Zoom in button is the up arrow key and the zoom out button is the backspace key. Use the main navigation key to scroll up/down/left/right of the map. Using Options, map mode, you can select map view, satellite view, hybrid view, or 3d map view. Of course you need to be connected to wifi or gprs to download the maps to your phone cache at the beginning. Make sure you turn off GPRS (that is the default setting) unless you have some data plan - otherwise can easily hit big bucks as the many many MB of maps to download. Once you have scrolled around singapore, you can test going offline from the wifi/gprs, and test the route planning. Select start and end points, and calculate route. It usually gives a relatively good route. You can choose between driving or walking. remember, the pain is in the small screen size! Also, if you willing to subsribe to nokia maps or something, they have voice features, and updates (eg. traffic, etc) but I can't be bothered by paying extra. The default map is ok for me.
