Philipkee Twincharged November 25, 2017 Share November 25, 2017 Why the need to rotate tyres ? Bcuz it's recommended ? What's it supposed to do ? When I was driving my van, I change tyres in 2s, not 4s. It's either front or back. I never rotate them. They always wear out evenly. The only time they wear unevenly is when the front toe is out of spec. Keep the front alignment correct and there's no uneven wear, and no need for tyre rotation. My thinking is cos front tires wear out faster since you need to turn the front tires while the rear tires just go straight. All tires wear out almost simultaneously so when you change tires you.change all four at the same time. Of cos you can choose to change it at a rate of two each time but I would rather change all at time. While rotating the tires it's also a good time to inspect the tires fully. Buts it my opinion only. ↡ Advertisement

Kklee 6th Gear December 9, 2017 Share December 9, 2017 I just want to ask for the TPMS with external sensors, does the 12v monitor immediately display the data when there is power or need to drive a certain speed/distance i.e. the vehicle is "on" but stationary. That’s what I did for my in laws Car. The problem will be then you might get mismatched front and rear pairs ( brand and models) if you don’t chew through your tires fast enough. Zcars Clutched December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 (edited) My first set was "Orange" with internal sensors and one of the sensors got damaged when I drove over a huge bump - replacement was 50-80 bucks (forget exact). Next 2 I got the brand "Tyredog" with external sensors and rubber valve stem not recommended. The rubber inside one of the sensors deteriorated causing leakage and replacement is probably about 50-80 bucks as well. Today got bought "Steel mate" (China) with internal sensors when I went to do tyres. My old Tyredog who interested I sell cheap cheap $70 together with steel valve stems... just need to find and replace sensor #2 replacement yourself lol Edited December 13, 2017 by Zcars
Titanium 4th Gear December 29, 2017 Share December 29, 2017 Hmmm... Do you guys view the status freq or just rely mainly on the sound alerts? I thinking to get this model as the display can be detach from the cigarette plug and able to mount on the dashboard. Any comment ma? Thanks, are u using cigarette plug type or solar (dashboard) type? If cigarette plug type, does that mean u always have to look down to see the status since the cigarette plug are usually at the bottom ? I wondering is there a need to mount this on the dashboard. I am using the cigarette plug type and yes, I have to glance downwards. I didn't go for the dashboard board type as I usually park in the sun and have to use the front sunshade.
