Youth92 2nd Gear August 11, 2010 Share August 11, 2010 The MR looks exactly like the Lancer GLX just that there are a few differences here and there. Maybe you want to take a look at the ASX? Cheers for my first post!

Joseph22 Turbocharged August 12, 2010 Share August 12, 2010 Isn't the MR just a CS3 GLX? yes. the only different is as AT4 instead of CVT(claimed to improve FC but i highly doubt so.) and new brand sound system that have a Ipod/phone connection to play sound with Apple. Ichibawa 5th Gear August 12, 2010 Share August 12, 2010 CS3 is an old car with low OMV hence you will have a hard time selling it if you want to change car in future but if you plan to use the car as your work horse and for point a to b commuting, then its not a problem as its quite sturdy. Experience comes from a few friends who previously owned CS3 but has already moved on.

Think for CS3 just scrap it. no point selling. going to EOL soon, unless ppl think it will be a classic car, if not. better dont touch. though like you say, its a very good workhorse. my already 110K plus after 4 years. not much incident. Or could it be most Lancer driver are chiongster (me not included) hence they ram their CVT while AT4 allow for max torque at 2700 rpm (4200 rpm for CVT version) hence dont need to ram so much?? hence save more fuel? Ichibawa 5th Gear August 12, 2010 Share August 12, 2010 CVT is driven by a belt and 2 pulleys. It works like those golf carts where both driven and driver pulley compensate each other to adjust wheel speed. However, servicing a CVT is very painful to the owner. I rather opt for a 4AT than a CVT. The only positive note for a CVT the smooth gear change like the 4AT.
