macrosszero Turbocharged November 7, 2009 Share November 7, 2009 If your friend's car total loss for either theft/accident/etc are you able to pay for it? Better to drive a rental company's car. I think some insurance policy do not cover Thailand.

Hubwee Supercharged October 21, 2010 Share October 21, 2010 (edited) You will need to have the log card or the print out of the log card , a letter of authorization from your friend , authorizating you to drive the car thru Thai customs . Remember that the letter needs to state your friend's NRIC number as stated on the Log card . Just right after passing thru thai customs , you can purchase 3rd party insurance for coverage in Thailand . They have an insurance booth right after the customs . 170 baht for 9 days coverage . Just back from a Phuket drive trip this week ..... Edited October 21, 2010 by Hubwee
