A_nesta84 Clutched November 13, 2009 Author Share November 13, 2009 That mini circuit is very near to Farmart. For $50 I think it is a mega chop carrot price, it is not even a proper circuit. It is best to get the training done at bbdc since you are going to do your test there. There are some locations in the bbdc that you have to be extra careful about. By training there you get used to the environment and thus would not feel alien about bbdc circuit. Yup i know thanks. Anyone know about the cost of driving in the circuit? Are student allowed to book? ↡ Advertisement

Kwchan 1st Gear November 23, 2009 Share November 23, 2009 (edited) there is a "circuit" in the heavy vehicle car park right behind BBDC. PI always conduct the circuit training over there, i did not need to pay an cent to use that mini circuit back in year 2000 It has everything in the circuit except the slope. I also paid $20+ last time to go INSIDE BBDC to get a real feel of the test circuit, but still failed in parking due to over-confident Got to blame my PI for setting up the poles too wide apart. The parking lots in BBDC circuit is much smaller Edited November 23, 2009 by Kwchan
Pchmj Clutched November 23, 2009 Share November 23, 2009 $50 is definitely a rip-off unless it's the proper circuit. Regarding the amount of practice in proper circuit, it depends on individual. In my whole driving course, I only went in two (2) times in total. 1 few weeks before my test date, 1 on the actual day itself before the test. Not even the mini-circuit because I'm in the north and there's none, my test center is in Ubi. So I'm very 'green' to circuit and the actual test route but it doesn't matter since I still manage to pass on my first test.

Swiftee Clutched November 23, 2009 Share November 23, 2009 My friend's instructor only bring her to this mini circuit to practise. And when she suggested to the instructor to let her also practise at the BBDC circuit the instructor reply is NO! Was told only allowed to practise ONCE that is during the test date @ the BBDC. When asked why the instructor said this is the practise now. When we went to BBDC to ask the BBDC CSO about booking circuit the cso told us we can book for practise as many time just that must be book by the instructor!!! Nicholasl Neutral Newbie December 10, 2009 Share December 10, 2009 $50 for a not proper circuit vs $30 for a TP approve one? haha.. no brainer I think.
Kellylee Neutral Newbie December 10, 2009 Share December 10, 2009 Don't waste time and money with private instructor. My experience: 1. PI always like to change time/ date because his priority gives to students taking exams 2. As a private trainee, not easy to book practical exams date if you fail. The waiting list is very long and priority is given to school trainee. 3. Don't get to learn in the circuit very often. If you learn from BBDC, though it's slightly more ex you'll get: 1. Different trainers each lesson, don't have to stick to one esp if you can't get along with him and your lesson won't get canceled/ postpone at last min. 2. Easy to rebook test date if fail. 3 Practice in circuit every lessons. Go learn in the school, sure can pass in a short time.
Banz86 5th Gear December 10, 2009 Share December 10, 2009 Ya i also paid $50 for the mini circuit. But then i also think that the mini circuit is good cos i practise all my skills there and build a lot of confidence b4 the TP test. I only paid $30 for the usage of the BBDC circuit. But then is cos of the confidence built up on the mini circuit, during the TP test i did really good in the circuit. And on the road too.. But of cuz $50 is too ex but then you wan the license, no choice also. ↡ Advertisement
