Best is to ask before going down as they can quote higher since they know that you are already down and will not mind paying higher price to save a trip. Bobbysmlim Neutral Newbie November 14, 2009 Share November 14, 2009 Hi Bro, It all depends on your requirements and budget. Do you need performance, better grip, wet tyres, comfort or low noise? tyrepac.com.sg has many brands, specs and prices. It all boils down to your requirements. Ya, 1 thing I learn is to know what type driver u r first then go look for the tyres. U fast driver? Do sharp turns? Cheong type? Or safety, comfort & silence very impt to u? If dun consider these, then the tyre shop ppl just smoke smoke u to push their stocks to you, and then u will blur blur say ok.. Pay money, go home then realise wah-lau, tyres so noisy!! (when u actually want comfort & silence type..)
CarMoney24 Neutral Newbie December 3, 2009 Share December 3, 2009 @JT_Woodlands - Brilliant reply! I've been driver for so long and never thought about that. A lot of people asked me similar questions and I've always recommended the brand and the type of tires for my type of driving. Now I see that this is not the correct point of view for different cases.
Beregond Supersonic December 4, 2009 Share December 4, 2009 Hi Bros, Anyone can recommend any tyres shops for my 3yo sunny? stock tyres is 184/65 R15 thanks bros! judging from your car, sunny, i guess u are not the cheong type of driver, more of a family man? and i believe u perfer comfort and low noise tyres. i would reccomd u to upsize to 195.60.15 if u are changing 4 pcs of course . a few ,model i can give u , db yokohama (japan) really quiet ( but many owner have issue with its grip ) goodyear ls2000 (japan , plus low cost ) bridgestone ar10 (thailand or indo ) toyo teoplus (japan) bridgestone re080 ( japan , ) if u going for budget tyres, look for korean brand like nexen, or make in malaysia tyres, ( they are really cheap).
