Alechi 2nd Gear December 16, 2009 Share December 16, 2009 As above, HDB Should Install CCTV in MSCPs. Looking @ the one-time costs of CCTV purchase and installation, it is actually very cheap. If divided by the no. of drivers parking in the MCSP, running costs would simply be a few dollars more per/mth, in terms of season parking. HDB can set the recording footages to run for 7 days max and to write-over subsequently. Therefore, if someone complains of vandalism or theft etc, they should do so within 7 days, which is more than reasonable time. If desired, HDB can stretch the 7 days to whichever period they deem fit. This would be a value-add service to residents which MPs and grassroots should push for. Intel Clutched December 16, 2009 Share December 16, 2009 i will support this. there was once a knn bang into my front bumper causing my whole bumper to band almost into half. going out from the MSCP is also a challenge. then hav to drive to workshop and change a new bumper. $$ all from my own pocket. lose a few hundred for nothing.... OeteM 1st Gear December 17, 2009 Share December 17, 2009 At my MSCP, HDB has installed CCTV since early this yr. However, we are unable to view the CCTV video. We must make a police report and only police will be able to view the video. Not sure how many days of video do they keep. Anyway, no increase in the monthly season parking rate. :)

Picanto 3rd Gear December 18, 2009 Share December 18, 2009 well..investments can bring in more $$$ for the TC. if they invest in the cctv, there's no returns. the only people who benefit are the car owners. and govt really like people to own cars in spore. so i guess investment that reaps returns is better than investing in car owners ↡ Advertisement
