Hi bro CBS,

That must be the 'spreadable' Lupak that has vegetable oil. Almost made the horrible mistake of buying one. The chunky Lupak butter needs time to soften did not have the vegetable oil. Anchor still best - very yellow =)

Not the same la. Some are reduced fat eggs. The worst are high omega 6 eggs!

Lim Chu Kang eggs only 0.02gm of carbs per 100gm. It is so low I wonder if there is a misprint. Others range from 0.5% to 3%

You see, what I mean is, will you really bring the eggs to test for higher fat content? No, of course not, the test cost too much to do.

It's only what they write, just like Quaker saying that their oats protect you against heart attacks. Organic is HOW organic? No one knows any better only that it's ORGANIC.

That's why I say, eggs will be eggs.

Neutral Newbie

I notice that Butter from M'sia ususally has palm oil as part of the ingredients. By itself, raw palm oil is ok. But processed palm oil (likely hydrogenated) to solidify it to make it like butter, it is downright dangerous. It becomes pure TRANS FAT.

Always check ingrediients.

In this case, the palm oil needs to be hydrogenated to make it solid. If you look at iingredients of margarine, they also use vegetable oil (including palm oil) and make these oils solid.

With the new govt. requirements to reduce the trans fat, the manufacturer will have to use another way to solidify vegetable oil into a solid form.

Why take the risk, just avoid them.

HDL/total cholesterol: 0.25

Trigs/HDL: 0.72

Both outstanding numbers. No danger of dying of a heart attack any time soon.

frankly if go polyclinic, high chance they may put you on pills just by looking at your total cholesterol figures. They look only at figures and not analyzing them.
