Car pulls seriously left ....

Vehicle wheels are subjected to side slip testing since the introduction of mandatory car inspection on 1982 and yet most of the workshop mechs will look at you as if you are an idiot asking for a what-type-of service. Every yr , I understand more than 70% ( my info may be out of date) of cars and trucks inspected fail their side slip test. For shops that have the infos and right tools their bosses are laughing everyday to the bank.

Is it cheap? I always thot the market rate is $40. [laugh]

But their machine is different from what I seen before. It's using mirrors to reflect beams and the monitor is huge, abt 26". :D Not that it matters anyway.

I pay $60 for the 4 wheel computerised alignment. Its very well done though.

But I only get it done if i feel the car is not so stable or if i get any work done to the steering or shocks as that wil likely cause the alignment to run out.

Cos of my good alignment, my tires all wear very evenly on the whole tread section. No uneven wear.

4 wheel Balancing & rotation I do every 10K km as part of my 10k km servicing.

Turbocharged

Just to feedback, I done my wheel alignment at Kian Teong Auto. They have this alignment machine that's different from the others. Done in half an hour and cost is $50. Steering wheel used to be slanted to the left when driving straight but now ok liao.

I dont believe in going to AD ws. They sometimes damm blur. Maybe they just do the simple alignment or dont even do it & wil charge u a bomb for it.

I kenna b4 with a big ws in Senoko.

I had my shocks changed & I asked if they did a proper 4 wheel alignment & they said yes, all done.

When I drove the car, it felt different. Funny even as it was very jittery. I tot it was the new brand of shocks but I learnt my lesson when my car skidded on a slip-road & crashed.

When I went to my regular tire shop for a computerised 4 wheel alignment, I was told all the settings were way out. That is what caused my skid.

Mind telling us which AD?

My C&C seem to do a good job most of the time...

I'm quite please with my AD ws.

i dunno the price outside for my car...

maybe i might need to wait for my warranty to expired before commit to outside workshop.

:P

If u r happy with them, then by all means continue to use them. Not everybody has the same standards.

To some, the AD give lousy service. It all depends on the motorist.

As for prices, I think most if not all AD charge more than the outside ws. Then again, its up to the individual.

I think so too...

Outside cheaper...

But i need them to honored their warranty...

+- 100 is still ok to me...

And I believe in my C&C for now...

I'll consider going outside after warranty expired.

Hope C&C keep up the good job...

I did mine at Sunday Plus Auto but the price is much higher @ $149. They call it Advance Zeroing Tuning. Take 2 hours to do zeroing.

- Tyre Balancing & Rotation.

- Computerized 4 Wheel Alignment

- Pump Nitrogen for Tyre

$149 is way too expensive la. At JB, you can get much much cheaper.

1) Tyre balancing & tyre rotation -$RM20.00

2) Pump nitrogen -FREE

3) Computerise aligment -$RM50.00

4) For better performance high speed balancing-$RM20.00 (optional)

Total damage $RM90.00 convert to SIN only S$ 37.00 nia.
