Is the haze back?

As per my topic title. Have been smelling the burning smell in the air. So reminiscent of hazy times.

I was just about to start a thread on it.

 

For me, it's more of the burning smell rather than the haze. I have been experiencing it at home most nights and early mornings for the past 3 weeks at least. My cat is so affected by it she is tearing excessively in her right eye.

 

Apparently, it is not hitting all parts of Singapore. I stay around the Marymount MRT and I get it. Have friends staying in East Coast area also get it. A friend in Simei said no burning smell. Same for a colleague in Yio Chu Kang.

I think the wind direction at night blow all the haze towards us. Keep smelling then burnt smell at night when doing night feeds for my BBs. But day time clear leh...

smelled it too. but last nite only. if sustained then would be problem for young kids, old folks and those with asthma etc.

It was very bad in the beginning as the wind carried with it not just the bad smell but also a lot of soot/dust. My kitchen got so dusty in a day I had no choice but to shut the windows almost completely. Now less soot but the smell is getting worse.

The smell had been around for the past 1-2 weeks.

Last week on my way home, there was a small fire at the forest area along TPE before the Punggol exit.
