if i switch off engine but leave air con running, will it eat battery or petrol?

will it be a lot? say, 30mins

sometimes while waiting, do not want to switch off air con as too hot

off engine fan will be blowing but aircon will not be working, so eventually will blow out warm air...

Bro, not advisable to off engine while running a/c, batt will go flat fast.

When you off engine, everything electrical will draw power from battery (not only aircon).

There is no purpose in turning on the aircon but switching off engine. It will only blow out hot air as the compressor is not running.

Where you get this notion from? Do you know how compressor works?

 

 

And u want to let idle for 30min is definitely waste petrol and NEA letter will come to ur house

Hijack this thread.

 

1 morning, when i start my engine as usual, turn on the aircon and nothing happen. I try a few time and still no air come out, so LL drive to work w windows wind down. After a while, i try again and aircon start working.

 

This happen for 2 consecutive days, so send in my car for servicing. Mechanic told me could be motor prob but he cannot confirm as that time, my aircon is working properly. Ask me to monitor the situation and send in again if prob come back again.

 

So for the next few days, i will start my engine, warm up before i turn on the aircon, so far the prob did not surface again. Just worry what could be the reason for this? anybody can help?

looks like your resistor going to up lorry soon. Happened to my prev car....and after a while, air-con really cannot on. Get your resistor changed

How much will that cost? can change at any workshop?

Yeah, sounds like the variable resistor which controls the fan speed is faulty.
