Hi 1st post here, just to say I've just fitted GR-90s onto my Odyssey and am VERY happy.

Quiet, comfortable and grippy.

They replaced LS2000 which were worn after just one year. (30k or so) The LS2000s were also not as comfortable even when new nor as quiet.

In the wet, they spun.... Actually in the dry if the wheels were turned or on an incline (slight) and i accelerated moderately from standstill , they spun too.....

Prior to the Goodyears I had 2 sets of Bridgestone Potenza GIII which were gr8. Noisier of course but really secure.

Re pricing of the GR-90s. I got them for $195 for 215/60/16s Other shops were quoting $205 and above except Soh who quoted $190.

the answer is yes , for example if u driving a benz or bmw with the pressure drop system , lets say your tyre pressure is 36 , it will warn u , when it drop below 30 , u can drive perfectly fine with 25+ psi , to any tyre shop to get a patching ,

but the catch is if u puncture , and u park your car some where else, and u come back, it already leak to 10 psi ,

and u got no spare tyre, then i can say gg. this is wher your rft come in , totally no pressure , and no spare tyre

( but i wonder rft can drive with 10 psi or 5 psi ??) and still no damage on it??

Actually, cars with tyre repair kit should come with a 12V pump.

You can do a temporary patch up and inflate to a decent pressure before driving to a tyre shop.

I have 2 onboard. One from the standard kit and one from my TPMS set.

I've used it once before when the petrol station pump was spoilt and caused the air to leak out.

Overinflated it a little cos it's hard to read the analogue (needle) meter.

As for the GR-90, I'm awaiting more long-term reports to decide whether to try the tyre.

Still another 5 to 10k left on my tyres. Keep them coming!

Anyone knows what's the widest profile for the GR90? My tyres are 235/40/18, easy to get performance tyres but difficult to get comfort/quiet tyres....

performance or comfort tyres these GR90s? threads look like re001s..

They are meant to replace GR80, so they are comfort and quiet tyres. I've used GR80 before in my previous, previous ride.

For this type of size & profile, seldom wil pple get comfort tires as 40series is considered as very low profile. Maybe u can try a higher profile which might b available on more comfort type tires.

Go for a narrower tire & increase the profile to maintain the same overall diameter so your speedo wont b affected.

Yeah I know, with this kind of profile, very difficult to find quiet comfort tyres. Using Eagle F1 Assym now. Still quite satisfied with it as my car is very well insulated...but want to try something quieter.
