Orchard Central Carpark Info

For those intending to park at this new mall, the entrance is along Somerset Road.

 

If you are coming by CTE, take Orchard exit, do a U-turn into Kramat Rd. Then turn left on Koek Rd & keep to the right lane. The entrance is shortly after turning right into Somerset Road.

 

For those who dislike steep, sharp & curvy slope, do consider valet parking.

Never go S313 before, but OC, combination not only of steep and curvy slope but it's very high! If I remember correctly the parking starts only from the 7 or 8 floor onwards after the climb.. previously I thought the CENTRAL has the worst carpark now Orchard Central won hats down!

My next trip I will just park in Centrepoint and walk over using the underpass.

parking charges at both orchard central and 313 is horrendous!! not to mention e slow moving and long queue that jam up e area. would avoid it at all cost.

seriously speakg i dono where is the entrance/exit for that mall but 1 thing i know for sure, those architects who cum up with design like that obviously nvr drive or tryg very hard to outdo architect who "designed challenging" carpark.

 

i do hv a wish & that is streetdirectory will show the entrance/exit to carpark. this is useful esp for those who don't travel that often to Orchard Rd.

Hv not tried S313 but driving up OC not only gave me headache but also robbed me of my appetite. Luckily none of my passengers got sick fm the ride up. Btw, I believed those lower flrs r kept for valet parkg.

There is open air carpark at the 'park' beside Orchard Central (where the KPO club thing is). But limited lots. I would try to park there if can.

 

If not then go Somerset open air carpark (the Cineleisure one), then walk.

so its true that the stupid spiral is for the car park.....

 

was standing at winsland house wondering why the spiral go so high....

 

3-4 level of big spirals follow by a few more levels of smaller spirals ......

the jap restaurants on the 7th and 8th floors are quite good

the way up orchard central carpark is really bad. i usually ask people seated in my car, to close their eyes temporarily.. (don't know if that makes them feel worst lol)

 

the way down is better, even though same road as earlier.. but going down have a wider angle of view, able to spot upcoming cars.

 

can't say the same when you are entering and going up the car park

City Square mall also has v steep n curvy slope. Going in is fine, going out got to really step on the gas n mind the gaps. The kind of car park that i hated.

i seem to notice quite a few new buildings have this kind of spiral carpark that goes all the way up more than 5-7 floors just to reach the carpark.though i have no problems manouvering,but it makes me sick just to park.

I think the malls there have to mind the MRT tracks below so they can't build basement carparks.. OC's carpark is really something though. Miss a turn and you'll have to go down a few levels, then back up again. Like playing some computer game like that...

if u intend to go OC but dont want to use their carpark, u can use the Winsland House carpark just opp.

 

but mind u, the carpark closes at 11pm. Per entry starts at 1pm on Sat...rather than 6pm in other nearby malls.
