well wherever the last port of loading may be, be it UK, HK, Japan or Australia, the car is still manufactured in germany.

how true are the rumours regarding necessary "tropicalisation" of european cars when imported into singapore? is it a scam by ADs to discourage people from buying PI cars?

well... the car itself is designed with the intent of being operable in multiple climates.

few modifications are required if any. At most only like anti-freeze and all.

yeah that is what i think also. this kind of car not like tau hu, will melt in the heat or what. furthermore it is well known that when designing cars, the manufacturer send the cars to scandinavia and africa for cold and hot conditions testing.

then the AD damn loser lah, spread this kind of rumours.

The new E Class comes with more kit in terms of safety and technology compared to its competitors. Just saw Audi A6 the other day at premium automobiles, nothing compared to the E Class as a whole. There is the new Attention Assist which comes standard on PI and AD cars. If you ever have extra money to get options on the car get the Driver's Assistance Package which comes with the Blind Spot assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Distronic Plus, and the Pre-Safe Break. That is a lot of ASSIST:D The most important thing when you book your E Class is that it has a good set of rims. The standard stock rim for the E200 at C&C is horrible and makes the car look cheap. Cheers man, you will never go back to any other car brand after you drive a Mercedes. Cheers bro!

could any experts advise whether it is possible to convert the 2009 e200 cgi to the latest 2013 e200 cgi external looks?

because if can, it might just make sense to save a hundred k to end up driving a like brand new e200 cgi?

You need to change the front & rear bumpers, rims[to 18 inches] to make it look alike...not cheap.

facelifts nowadays are more extensive, no longer like W124 time, change bonnet, bumper, indicator colour, tail lamps and boot lid can alr.

the W212 facelift gives it completely different headlamps, which means the front body panels, bumpers, bonnet and side guard all need to be changed.

the rear LED housing may not be the same shape as the previous one. i'm not sure about it.

with money anything is possible. i expect a whole facelift to be more than $30,000?
