BTW, what is the ideal tire pressure for me when it is still cold?

You can pump slightly over the recommended pressure though. around 5-10KPA more.

Mini-itx is right. firstly, are all 235/40/18 OEM tyres? if yes, follow your car's manual recommended KPa. however, it is advisable to add another 5-10KPa. also depending on what kind of drive you want. for my case, i am more to over inflated. one last thing. i would suggest you to fix an air-pump station and to do at least a monthly tyre pressure check/refill. it's free anyway. Vega Turbocharged June 8, 2010 Author Share June 8, 2010 yes. my tires are original from factory. the recommended presssure is 250 front and 290 rear which i find it quite weird.
Mini-itx Clutched June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 I think the 290 rear is to cater for rear passengers.

Mini-itx Clutched June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 Most of the time i dont have rear passenger. what should be the ideal pressure? If you don't have any rear passengers, perhaps you can try pumping the same pressure for all 4 tyres. Thats what I always do. Your manual should also have different pressure settings depending on no. of rear passengers though.
Vega Turbocharged June 8, 2010 Author Share June 8, 2010 thanks for the input. i plan is to pump 260 for the front and 250 rear. if i track, should i be increasing the pressure slightly?
