Is it normal for the front 2 tires of a front mounted engine car to leak air faster than the rear tires?

actually, it depends on your ride.

FWD or RWD?

rear tyre width is bigger or same with the front tyre?

what is your size of your tyre? i can advise you the correct tyre pressure.

for my case, yes.

every two weeks or so, my front tyres will drop about 10KPa and rear tyres will drop about 5KPa.

mine is a FWD and with a heavy V6 engine infront.

thanks for the advice. my ride is a FWD front mounted engine. tyres are all 235/40/18.

i have exactly the same symptom as you. front loss 10 kpa and rear 5 kpa. this is what i am getting from my TPMS.

BTW, what is the ideal tire pressure for me when it is still cold?

Can't really recommend you any ideal pressure cause no idea what your car is. You have to check your manual. You can pump slightly over the recommended pressure though. around 5-10KPA more.

Mini-itx is right.

firstly, are all 235/40/18 OEM tyres?

if yes, follow your car's manual recommended KPa.

however, it is advisable to add another 5-10KPa.

also depending on what kind of drive you want.

for my case, i am more to over inflated.

one last thing. i would suggest you to fix an air-pump station and to do at least a monthly tyre pressure check/refill.

it's free anyway.

If you don't have any rear passengers, perhaps you can try pumping the same pressure for all 4 tyres. Thats what I always do.

Your manual should also have different pressure settings depending on no. of rear passengers though.

Hi TS, this is very normal. For your information, FF cars are usually have front bias with regards to weight distribution. This is improve traction on the driven wheels. The braking bias is also similarly engineered front wise for the same reason. If you brake hard, you will notice your car doing a
