erh,

no electric passenger seats (standard on Camry/ i45), no keyless entry and ignition (standard on Kia Forte 1.6SX models), no integrated computer system or GPS, no Parktronic, no Intelligent light systems....etc....

it's only available on 'more expensive' models like the C200CGI BE and C250CGI....

i see...well, C200CGI is almost $164xxx...

cruise control, auto headlights, keyless entry and go, leather seats, 17inch alloys, climate control air-conditioning, distance to empty, i-POD Connectivity, chrome door handles, signal lights on wing mirrors, ABS, EBD are all standard on a $70k Forte 1.6SX (A)....

yet, the C180CGI can't even match up with some of the features on the Forte, but it costs over $150k....

you're pretty much paying for the badge and engineering, but mostly the badge....

and the C-Class is almost everywhere these days (as with the E und S-Klasse), so what exclusivity or luxury are you talking about???

Bro, C180 u equal as botak...think it's got what is expected on a decent luxury acr...hve u test drive it or even see it yrself ?

Service credit can be exchange for cash...nt sure which SA u talk to but i m pretty sure abt it, just that u need to set aside at least $2K can't covert all.

lol he compared a Merc C class to a kia forte. Interesting interesting ...

(PS: if you read thru his previous posting, you will know what kind of "expert" he is ... [:p] )

actually for C class, the C180 should be enough for the average user. Enough omph for everyday driving and the car is quite well equiped. Just that the interior is quite small ...

My 2 cents worth.

comes with semi electric seats all round.

if wana buy car based on equipment, many cars can beat premium marques. pls compare apple with apple.

the bread and butter marques of course have to offer more at a low price and they have more competition. or else who buy? mr "know it all" [rolleyes]

lol .. tat guy purely looks at specs .. guess he has never sat in a c-class b4 ..

must be a 15 year old nerd looking at IT specs like tat [laugh]

a c-class drives like a sports sedan .. a forte drives like a wooden coffin

bro, compare car based on features.. chances are you wont be buying a premium car like c-class.

alot of higher-end cars also have non keyless ignition, still traditional keyhole.. just an e.g, doesnt mean they are botak or not as good in terms of features.

all these features, in my opinion, can be coined into monetary sense.

but other things that a premium car can offer but a bread&butter car can't, those.. isnt measured in monetary sense because they can't [cool]

Bingo - the fact that a Kia Forte is so much better than a Mercedes C180 has been staring at you guys in the eye for so long, but all of you have been blinded by the ginormous star in front of the bonnet to see the fact! Wake up guys! It's dumb to pay so much for a C180 when the Forte offers so much more for less. Must tell all those rich towkays how stupid they are to buy a E-class over the Hyundai Sonata, even though they're making millions a year.

Oh... better tell my friend that his Patek Phillipe is a dumb buy as well. My Casio can keep time much more accurately, got light, stop watch and alarm somemore...

towkays can sell their e-class (probably 210~220k) and buy 3 kia forte park side by side [:p]

imagine those with S-class and higher. their carpark area will be bigger than their house's land size.

Are you sure? The 1st time I stepped into the Forte in the showroom was also the last time I wanted to go into one. Was looking at the 2L version but the build quality really turned me off, especially the flimsy, hollow plastic and loose door handle on the inside of the car. Hard plastic all over. No offense to Forte owner out there, just that I expect more from a 2L car.

Ended up test driving the Magentis. It's build quailty was much better and cost only a few K more. However, the drive was not up to my expectation. Suspension is too soft and engine is harsh.

Well....in the end upped by budget by a fair bit and got a Passat :D
