SimonTan 2nd Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 The only sure way to trick is to lay a fibrous carpet on your dash board, to place the coupons on. When you fold the tabs, the carpet fibres will fill up the holes and cover the folded tab lines. And purposely hide the serial number of each coupons, maybe pushed coupons into the gap between the windshield and dashboard. Or place a LauFuZhi comics book on the seria number part, on pretext to hold down the coupons. As a sales personnel myself, I used to do that for the past 5-6 years during my ex-company, as I need to do deliveries and attend to servicing. Now my new company will compensate me on the coupons, so no need to do that anymore. ↡ Advertisement

TangoElite 6th Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 Because they park there for weeks..... bingo that is what fatimah will think when they see a slip on the car. they will check it instead of walking away
Nautilus 2nd Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 (edited) Totally agreed Seriously, coupon cheaters thoroughly deserve the $800-$1k fine that is metted out to them. 50cents/$1 per half hr parking is considered cheap these days already, still want to cheat. SimonTan 2nd Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 This type or mentality is what gives them to confidence to up the night parking to $4. I am sure more will comes, when the $4 still cannot meet demand as those cars stays there will still park there. Next will be hourly rates increased to $1.5, season parking raised to $140 per month! Beei 1st Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 sup guys, would you keep a spare summon ticket with u to put it on ur car when u park illegally? call me naive, but it might just work! heh Ok, you are naive.
5936 1st Gear August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 When did they start using long life summon ticket, so you can use for extended period? Come-on, how long the tickets will last. When damaged, you'll have to plan for another real summon, so that you can get hold of another ticket to cheat again. When to park, pay for parking

I am talking about CHEATING the system when the parking is considered cheap. Anyone who is prudent enough should be factoring the cost of parking before he buys a car, not complain about price increases after he buys it. It's a fact in SG that the cost of owning a car can go up anytime, be it due to ERP, parking, etc. If an owner's budget is so tight to begin with, he should not own a car in the first place. Yes , tho I dun denial what U said is true especially the part whereby buying a car , we gotto anticipate paying extra. However, paying extra is one thing...neccessity for the increase in cost is another. As mentioned by some who was interviewed upon such topic... As replied:" Be it whether $4 or $2 , it will not stop people from parking their car overnight nor cut down...becos the needs and demand is there. " Similar implementation of ERP gantry as spoken of. Be it the government add more gantry , saying to cut down the traffic flow to enable people with geniuine intention to proceed. I see it as an excuse for them (GOV) to earn more income , seeing such a demand or increase in cars parking overnight. They just have to think of one reasons which sound beautiful so people wont be soo tulan to fork our more from their pockets. Yes, we should be ever ready for rising cost, however in terms of $$$$ or principles , there should be a line drawn .

Starian Clutched August 5, 2010 Share August 5, 2010 (edited) I was being made use to cheat the system. . . I was entering woodlands causeway open carpark, there was no car at the barrier, but I notice 1 MY reg bike at the left side of the kerb, like waiting for something to happen, I didn't know that I was his target. As I approach nearer the barrier, he start to move along side with me, true enough, as the barrier was lifted, I move and he shadowed along my car to go into the CP. !#@!$$#%$# I tried to squeeze him off the left, but he slow down and yet manage to pass thru after that. Vhtfhwlego Supercharged August 6, 2010 Share August 6, 2010 $6 if exceed by 30mins, $20 if exceed by 1hr. normally if they come back they will replaced with the new notice. very common in cbd area I kanna once $30 as I cheated 10mins at 8.30am. Parked at 8.30am and tore coupon time at 8.40am. Got a fine of $30 and I left the fine on the windscreen the whole day. 2 other wardens came and "counter signed" on the fine ticket hence no way I can appeal. I don't intend to appeal as my reason to display coupon for 30mins is only to pick up some stuffs from office and off for the day's work. Since I "paid" for parking of $31, I left my car there from 8.30am to 6.30pm = 10hours parking at rate of $3.10 per hour. Normally it will cause me $19 for whole day parking. So I did maximise the usage paying only $12.00 more . By the way, that was years ago. ↡ Advertisement
