Mike1234 1st Gear September 4, 2010 Share September 4, 2010 Ops, looks like I misinterpret GDI hahaa... Oh ya hor, previously Mitsu also introduced GDI, we are talking about the same technology right except it is now improved. IMO, this has something to do with the GEMA .... ↡ Advertisement
Mike1234 1st Gear September 4, 2010 Share September 4, 2010 Nope... There are still many countries that cannot use GDi engine due to fuel quality... That's why you can see that Singapore don't get the GDi Sonata as well ( people saying that Komoco and C&C worry that people will pump their car in Malaysia and may cause the GDi get stucked)... There will be a 1.6 Gamma Dual CVVT engine and it will be released soon for the non-GDi market... That's diesel ....... Not petrol....
Mike1234 1st Gear September 4, 2010 Share September 4, 2010 If the Hyundai i45 2.0T really come, it will be interesting since we already miss Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T but don't know how much will the pricing be? Wad abt this??? http://www.hyundai-blog.com/index.php/2010...274-horsepower/ 2.0L Theta II turbocharged gasoline direct-injection (GDI) engine??? Mike1234 1st Gear September 4, 2010 Share September 4, 2010 I guess its not coming that soon for 1.6 GDI engine to come to sg....maybe another 6mths to 1 year??? Yes, IMO... Maybe it will arrive in a year's time together or abt the same time with 2011 avante

Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 bo bian lah.... i doubt Hyundai will still keep the current Theta engines in it's range.... with new technologies.... even with poor quality of fuel, still can use for the car.... Tohto Hypersonic September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 diesel engines produce lesser CO2 than petrol engines, but more particulate matter.... Euro 5 (or Euro 6, can't remember which one) should have a new particle filter which suspose to be almost 100% trap all the particle. Remember the Audi Q7 TDI long term test by ST, which is using this latest technology... The main concern is filter need to change periodically. Heartbreakid 6th Gear September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 I could hardly see obvious difference between the pre-facelift and post facelift Forte Sedan... Maybe the design is already good so it doesn't need any major make over. The engine is seriously a good offer for newer batch forte.
Lalaisgongon Clutched September 5, 2010 Share September 5, 2010 any idea when it will reach our shores!

13177 Hypersonic September 7, 2010 Share September 7, 2010 U mean Kia cerato forte will be launching the facelift 6 speed version? Tot this car still quite new in the market? If forte facelift is 6 speed, it will be the same as the brand new Avante model, as it is also 6 speed!

Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear September 8, 2010 Share September 8, 2010 not really lah.... cos now the COE so high.... and with new engines and gearbox, plus the KRW appreciated from 1-2yrs ago.... Korean cars now aren't exactly VFM IMHO....
Drumstick Clutched September 19, 2010 Share September 19, 2010 Just side track abit... maybe it's because of the new facelift and HB, alot of current forte owners letting go? Seems like quite a number of fortes on resale market now... ↡ Advertisement
