Anyone kena airbags before?

Out of curiosity, has anyone been in an accident where the airbags deployed? How serious was the impact to cause airbag deployment and how does an airbag feel like?

feel like a knock out punch in the face..... half face blue black, took 2-3 weeks to look "normal" again.

 

concussed, cannot remember what happened half hour before kana "punched", accident at 50-60km/h.

after that, i seriously thinks that seat belts are good enough. if not for the air bag, i wont have a half blue black face.... some might say i might be dead but i doubt so..... i was saved by the seat belt and the air bag punched me hard!

yes. kena before. airbag exploded into the face. the smell of explosive filled the car and stain your body for a day or 2.

no major blueblack whatsoever but the feeling is not good.

if u are restrained by a seatbelt.... what's the use of an airbag?

in case the collision "moves" the steering wheel and smash it into you?

so if the seatbelt did it's job and restrained you, but the airbag still activated, will the airbag kena you?

yes my seat belt was perfect!

 

the air bag still deployed...the air bag sensor is not linked to the seat belt.

 

after my air bag's knock out punch, i don believe in air bags anymore. i used to choose cars with the most air bags. now i just make sure my pessagers put on seat belts, no air bags never mind.

 

i was lucky i was wearing contact lenses that night, otherwise, the injury might be worst. My specs are made of glass btw.

 

Anyways my blue black face was the only injury i got from the accident and irony is, its from the air bag and not from the accident.

where got so bad as blue black??? either not travelling at 50-60kmh during accident or the airbag is simply useless....

i kana b4, knocked my glasses out and a bit of red scratch on somewhere above my right eye, had a real shock than that's abt it... aft 30min later, scratch mark gone already, i was travelling straight and that camry uncle juz turned right irregards of my car approaching...

oh ya and some foul smell which is caused by the airbag mechanism i tink...

if the steering wheel is moved by the accident and smashed into me, deploying the airbag would be worse? enhance the impact.

I know what is blue black la bro, its my face lei... u think i wan to make myself lau kwia ma....not the airbag useless, its too "useful"

I wear glasses when driving, so avoid cars with airbag(s) if I can. Airbag can hurt more than the accident if wearing glasses. Airbag like a booby trap for those wearing glasses. A marketing strategy

quite ex i guess. u need to replace the whole steering wheel, for my case at least, a Nissan.
