Cannot like u anymore! Thanks for the sharing!!!

Plz share a full car side pic after installation.

Hi S2s1,

Here goes ... after coating before door seal and now in the rain with door seal.

Absolutely no difference especially when you close door .. other design may make it hard to close.

Even wife now comments why so quiet .. and yes, no longer wack also and just let the 6 speed gearing does it job haha ! Still may add ethrottle for optional increase the throttle response to see how it can perform better without engine roar albiet now no longer too rough.

Cheers.

Richard

Cool! It is not visible from picture. Going to order and try also.

I see it is 2.1 meters. Is one pack sufficient for both sides?

The pic guide shows only installed at the lower part of door frame. Did you install also upper part (beside the window)?

Hi S2s1,

1 pack is good for both doors.

No, the door design is that it is only to the lower section.

Top portion is served by another Amon product per enclosed photo itme # 2653 which I am fiting this weekend but raining now

Hi S2s1,

Paiseh .. I did had 2 spares but forester bros snapped up last nite when offered to them at sgd15 cos shipped with kakai's turntable that he asked me to order and hence no shipping cost.

Sure .. hope tomorrow will be a good day but do also consider the dashboard windscreen seal also per photo.

More to do ... will be ordering 3M insulate material to stuff say 12 pcs of them into the dashboard behind the speedometer, headunit and behind the glove compartment which also helps alot .. especially on driver side where there is no glove compartment to block off noise from engine:

All Amon products and more here:

https://www.sendico.com/yahoo/lot_r288869776.html

PM me if you wish to test drive my forester with much more SP on floor, doors, wheel arch etc. and also autofoam at KL auto .. you may be surprised how Lexus like a forester xt can be.

Cheers.

Hi Richard, just wondering did you get the stuffs installed at workshop? Did you buy the materials and pay for labour?

Hi Sze,

Material from mentioned links to yahoo japan auction via sendico and rs components.

Mostly diy since simple to do but stuffing 3M thinsulate needs to remove HU, glove compartment and speedometer which I cannot do so without destroying plastic clips etc. and go to aestmod at 23A Geylang Lorong 11 to do so.

Cheers.

Hi bros,

Believe these comparative photos shows how an SUV of forester is surprising with better door insulations.

For forester, bottom of doors is with added insulation seal and top portion of rear door has hard surface that hold flap when front door closes which are both lacking in mazda 6.

Cheers.

Richard

Hey bros,

Any FL owners tried this and can confirm it works for our car ?

Close i-stop Autostop Start-Stop function for Mazda Atenza Axela CX-5 car accessories

Cheers.

Richard

I using OBD plug in to deactivate i-stop, bought it from TB.

When engine start, wait for 2 Sec, I-stop will be deactivated.

The original I-stop botton still able to use as normal.

The OBD not work sometimes, once a week or 2 weeks I would say. Then press the I-stop myself.

Hi Bro Selan,

Big thank you !!

Although not perfect as mentioned, it is good enuff for me with the added confidence and hence just ordered the version with hazardous light when door opened since it is a good safety feature for me.

Thanks again and will also share when fitted.

Cheers,

Richard

I think for me it's become kind of a reflex. I turn off i-Stop immediately after starting the engine.

I don't like the feature, it saves bugger-all fuel and breaks the overall refinement.

They have actually done actual tests to show that the i-Stop or comparable feature only starts saving you petrol when your engine is stopped for more than 7 seconds. If the time is less than that, you actually consume more fuel on the restart then the amount you'd have saved.

Also, engines don't use that much fuel when idling. They've done actual tests for this too.

Fears about start-stop systems causing premature engine wear and battery drainage largely unfounded however.

Hi DK3410,

Not sure if mazda 6 has separate capacitor bank like some cars for start up else battery sure will be affected as you crank high current.

Starter and mounting will certainly also age faster since more usage ... only logical and prevention is better ... you will also feel it more when the car ages.

These who say no concern on negative aspects are also probably the same one telling your start-stop save the world ...

Cheers,

Richard
