Silver_blade Turbocharged January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 Congrats. How does the interior built quality compares to the pre-facelift model?
Runveryfast3 Neutral Newbie January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 Hi, I'm a proud owner of the new touran as well. Any idea if there's a need to run in the car? Drive under 80km/hr or before certain rev for 1000km? First time own a conti car. Appreciate any advise.
Silver_blade Turbocharged January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 Read your car manual.....it should all be in there. I doubt you need to keep under 80km/h....it should varied speed and gear, etc...
Ak7887 1st Gear January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 (edited) collected my touran today. the delivery bay was very impressive. way better compared to PML. slightly above half-tank on the fuel gauge and 17 km on the odo meter. Bro, very nice! You got the top railing glossed type!! Most are blackish. Add side door and bumpers some chrome and will look like the sport version liao. Can't wait for mine. Can also take a photo with the front lights on? Not so sure got some LEDs for our models although specs say so. Just drive casually and don't ram the fellow :) Keep your temper and dont get `jio-ed' by others at traffic lights haha. Bes thing for conti is no need to go back for oil change after run in. First service at 15K, save money.
Jeronlee 1st Gear January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 Congrats. How does the interior built quality compares to the pre-facelift model? i'm not familiar with the pre-facelift model but i'm not surprise if the pre-facelift could be better as the base touran's leather seat is locally fitted instead of factory fitted. Jeronlee 1st Gear January 4, 2011 Share January 4, 2011 (edited) OK, now comes the dreaded part.... what you do not like about the car?? so far it's just the bare plasticky steering wheel which i can't wait to replace it. other than that, everything has been up to expectation or even exceeded in some areas. Anyway, lan lan hv to wait for mine until March, sigh wait so long Enjoy the ride bro!! Noticed you kept your plate. Will horn u if I see u on the road i could afford the waiting time but luckily there are aftermarket options available. exceeded my expectation: - the delivery bay which is like a personal showroom - able to adjust the tilt down angle of the left wing mirror when reverse gear is engaged. for my BMW 320i, the angle is fixed - aircon blower is pretty strong even at only level 1 - vanity mirror for both front seats come with light - more hidden compartments which i never knew they existed - somehow the space in the 2nd row feels more spacious than i thought i realised the 2nd row seats are rather upright. haven't got a chance to read the manual but hopefully they're adjustable. These are all the stuff that I like about the Touran, minus pt 2 cos my side mirror is fixed.. Did u see the floor storage at row 2? Wah lao, can hide cigis haha. So are the front seat drawers there too? As for the upright seats, you are right about it. Only way is to push 1 notch back at most, but it will rub against the bar causing some leather squeaky sound during drive. Alternatively, if permits, you can slide the 2 row seat forward and then push the back further to make it more comfortable. Problem is legroom will be compromised. And if you need the 3rd row, you need to push the seat back to original before you can fold them, a bit ley-chey. Bo-pian, its still a mid-sized MPV. But surely a very good one Edited January 5, 2011 by Ak7887
