yup..no wonder they are incorporating expressway driving as part of L plate training ^_^

I believe not every driver can be observant enough to read up on expressway/highway driving practice before venturing onto them (I do lectured my brothers if I observe any inappropriate driving practice by them). But I am not a Driving Instructor (laugh)

Oh.. My reply was more for bro dragonl who thinks that by going 90 or 100 in the first lane is not hogging as these speeds are already at speed limits :D As for the TS' purported issue I dun think he admitted to anything. He said that the tailgater behind followed him closely and then overtook him and then tailed the car in front so I think what he wrote may not be 3/4 car length (three quarter car length) but 3 / 4 (three to four car lengths) car lengths away. I'm juz more distubed over how some thinks that if one is travelling at the speed limit on lane 1 it's not road hogging or if there's a car in front going at 90 I follow at same speed it's not hogging.

If TS was not tail-gating any car in front of him, he could had word it all differently. He presented himself as driving a car in a driving convoy. Thats makes tail-gating the greater danger than any road-hogging irregardless of the speed

its still hogging as long as someone behind is faster than u and traffic is clear ahead of u [rolleyes]

Another reason for motor insurers to raise premium each year, since tailgaters the bigger issue, but you choose to ignore them

he already mentioned that the mazda can overtake him from the left, as its clear [rolleyes]

Stunt driver needs more than a car length to do so. TS mentioned 3/4 car length in front of his car. How can the Mazda driver to overtake safely?

no, its caused by hogging. confident tailgaters ( i do not approve of such act anyway ) will look ahead of traffic n usually they know their cars braking distance n capability.

many a times alot of people dun understand why hogging causes accident. simple reason being, the hogger will left too big a gap from the front vehicle. this will create a false impression to someone in lane 2 about the anticipated speed to be slower. then comes a kuku driver in lane 2 just switch lane to lane 1 with a much slower speed, tat hogger comes along n jam brake. even if the car behind dun tailgate, there is a good chance u see a chain collision.

TS did mentioned his 3/4 car length behind the front car. TS unwittingly confessed himself a tail-gater. No mention there was a kuku driver in Lane 2 (laugh)

from his quote "you were practically sticking your front bumper close to mine all the way as you gotten a chance to overtake from the left and sped off , overtook me and again stick your bloody nose close to the car in front. "

TS mentioned his was 3/4 car length behind the front car. Mazda driver did not make the mistake of overtaking TS's car and crashing into the car in front of TS?

110Km/hr is acceptable levels for MOST TP expect for camera.

Don't understand why that so many others so kiase MUST maintain speed limit.

More surprising is many driving at 80km/h braked to 70km/h when they see speed camera along PIE (both directions)

Apologies for hijacking this thread.

Just encountered this Merc B class driver road hogging on the PIE.

He was going at most 90kmh on the overtaking lane and going the same speed as the middle lane.

Road condition was pretty clear.

I overtook him from the left lane after realizing he was not going to give way.

But this brilliant driver sped up on purpose to stop me from overtaking.

Then he started chasing and tailgating me over 100kmh.

To the Merc B class driver on PIE exiting at Eunos at 5pm - you sir are a bloody idiot.

Grow up.
