Thats why they are P Plate lo. In this kinda situation we do gotta choice to overtake from the left tho by right it is not supposing.

In other European countries, they teach by making drivers drive at Expressways at high speeds.

Many people under-estimate actual braking distance, over-estimate their cars and their own capability. There are many "confident" tailgaters out there. But do tailgaters do e-brake from 100km/h daily to test? think about when is the last servicing, is the brake 100% perfect, no wear and tear? and what about the sexy lady on your car or in a car just beside, and what about sudden sms or phone call? There are really many unforeseen cases...

 

Image some Kayu driver, 10 cars ahead got accident or jam brake, all 9 behind are "confident" tailgaters, following at half-car length at 100km/h. Say the immediate car behind the kayu driver did manage to e-brake in time. Good luck to the rest, especially the last car, unless he has superman vision to see past 9 cars and "The Flash" reflex...

 

On the road, always give way, be patient, be humble, and always try your best to under-estimate things rather than over-estimate. That's the best way to keep alive and be safe. Stay alive and happy driving everyone

i agree with wat u say, but yes, if u are tailgating, u have to be VERY VERY observant, seeing past 9 cars should not be a problem. they probably will be looking at the brake lights. when i drive, i will slow down as soon as i see brakelights coming from vehicles ahead even though the car in front of me has not brake yet.

It seems more people mis-identify road-hogging to be more serious than tail-gating which often the cause of chain collision road accidents.

Ideal/perfect road-hogging is like accident-free convoy driving. However, Tail-gating can not be perfected due to the front car having to stop sooner or later, a little too soon. Those who overtook by filtering off overcame the danger (laugh)

i remembered during my driving lesson days, my private instructor allowed me to go on expressway. the fastest i drive then was 80km/h

My instructor told me not to reck the Truck.

After I passed, we students got to drove around Tampines for ourselves and once I return back from the trip, I told him "you are right", I shouldn't drive so fast if I am alone.

Yup. SGP driving school sucks. I dunno how they can pass sometimes. That is why, why we singaporeans go overseas to drive, either accident, or kanna horn. After driving in 5 countries for extended durations, I can appreciate why the taxi I took in Malaysia where the driver was spewing vulgarities at SG plate cars when going up Genting (PS : He thought I am malaysian)

 

Road hogging is road hogging, everyday also see on the road, and usually where skirt type will road hog. Let ppl pass lah, the original poster really should just behave. Driving 90-110km/h is not an excuse. THere are ppl faster than that.
