Toyota wish queries

Guess must be selling pretty well to up price. Or stock is low and they are quietly confident to move it at that price. Another possibility is to raise it and then have a promo to give the illustration of limited time to get at promo price.

Look around for mid size MPV around that price point. You either get the smaller ones like Sienta or up your budget to 120k for other makes.

Yeah. Especially now, no more Honda Stream. Wish is the best option for mid size MPV if you don't mind old design.

I think at most another 4 more months to go before BM stop selling Wish. Factory in Japan is not producing domestic market anymore but is still running in low capacity for BM. Guess factory is in process of retooling for another Toyota make, so production will become lesser and lesser by the day, so stocks will continue to run low. Certain colour like beige has already stopped production.

I think wish will be lelong in the final month around May or June to clear the stocks of unpopular colours (red, orange)

Left 200 units. Can last til May? just

Cuz Wish is a very popular car. I know some people who are considering changing cars early because they want to get a Toyota Wish before BM stops selling them.

If BM don't sell...can buy from PI. It's same make in Japan. ;)

Most probably all sold before may

PI? Please give wish owner a break

In 2015, I bought my Wish from PI because is cheaper than BM.

But now BM price is cheaper than PI, so surely buy from BM.

But if BM don't carry stock anymore so why not buy from PI.

I signed the sales order and my Wish on the road within 3 weeks.

The whole sales transaction is smooth and my Wish is doing so far so good...no problem leh.

Somemore come with 70K km free servicing.

Your Wish is from PI or BM?

Don't quite understand your statement above.

Hello all,

Am considering Toyota wish and took a test drive today. It’s snappy and the ride was comfortable. During the drive the agent shared that this is the last lot at BM and this car will be discontinued. As am a first time car buyer am bit spooked. Any suggestions please if to consider this car or not?

Thanks in advance.

Ash

If your need is a proven workhorse MPV and has reasonable fuel consumption and price point, Wish is the one. Alt is prob Mazda 5 or Sienta which is slightly cheaper. If you cannot stand the fact that this is an old model (actually what's wrong with old model?? Face value? Lack of tech?? Not so nice looking??) and your budget is another 20k or higher, then you have alot more options and should look else where.

If concern is parts, there is more than enough existing ones around to ensure availability of parts. Take a look at the previous gen 1 Wish and you will realised many is still running around, considering that gen 1 was discontinued since 2008.

I was told by SE that BM will post it to me but yet to receive it

Hi fellow members,

Anyone managed to receive the $500 shell card yet? Collected my car 2 weeks ago and BM didn't give out. Delivery agent said SE will give, SE said BM marketing department is still processing the card (what the heck), till date BM hasn't post it to me.

Worst of all, on the delivery day, the acceptance form, they indicate the shell card was present and told me to sign off. Got to tell the delivery agent off that the form was incorrect and then she corrected it.

So, be very wary with BM. The after-sales service is terrible (compared to Mazda, Honda), got to chase them for COE result, cheque collection, car collection and now still chasing them for the card. Can't imagine what could happen when I go for their servicing.

When you say be wary of BM, can we know who you deal with?

Hi Roger, I’m giving the SE and whoever her boss is, until next week to settle what they have owned the customer/s. By then if not settled, I will lodge to CASE and reveal the SE name.

I think mine is not isolated case, anyone here who bought Wish during Christmas promo and received the $500 shell card? If yes, pls let me know so that I can dispute the SE claim that they are still processing the cards.
