Toyota wish queries

This is yet another unpleasant incident. Long story short, to those who still want to give them your hard earned money, make sure get the SE to write the free gifts in black and white , in the receipt.

If they refuse, it means the free gifts are from their own workshops, not from BM workshops. And yes, if itâs from their own workshops, some parts of your car warranty will be voided and on car collection day, you have to collect the car from the west coast pier and then to their own workshops to get the free gifts, took more than half a day to settle.

I do not have reverse camera as free gift. Only got magnetic shade only.

Your SE free gift consider OK. At least more expensive than my magnetic shade.

Anyone opt for an upgrade to 3M crystalline solar film for their wish? How much was top up and do you have to make arrangement to go down to installer side after collection?

BM does'nt do a good job at it.

Replace front windscreen solar film 2x and still got small bubbles. Adviced by BM against gg again as each time you change involves having to remove the rear mirror which could become loose if you keep removing and installing after each solar film change.

Back windscreen also have some small bubbles.

Advised by BM that this is common and cannot guarantee no bubbles even after you change it.

Ironically, I noticed the default 3M Solar Film that comes with the package does not have any bubbles. in it. (Maybe did not check thoroughly).

All in all, quite disappointed with their worksmanship.

How about giving up the solar film?

Can someone help to confirm the number of armrest/s in the new Wish? The car manual didn’t specify and Google images seems to suggest 2 armrests ..

Thanks for the confirmation. Yep the design is so strange, I can’t find a logical reason to explain why the single armrest when my passengers ask.

Exactly... I donât think BM/Toyota SE will come to your place because they use delivery men to collect cheques. And yes, got to chase for it. Compared to my friend Honda purchase, the SE come to his house personally to collect the cheque. He collect his car from showroom which make sense and I have to travel to west coast pier? to collect and I paid more for the Wish :(

Regretted getting a Toyota which I thought will give me peace of mind. If I had gotten the Mazda 5 which was cheaper at that time with ready COE, I would have collected car at showroom and settled.

I’m confused, are you buying a car or are you buying services. You live with the car for much much longer time than the buying process which in total is a couple of hours at most.

I think the margin on this car is very low so the amount of freebies won't be very exciting.

Toyota has never been about the buying experience either. I had to pick up my car from the port myself. Never saw the rep again.

Whereas for my current car, the rep came to see me for the check, we get newsletters and gifts, movie tickets and cards. All these cost money so I am under no illusion that it's all goodwill.

The after sales matters if you want repeat customers and promote loyalty but the company must want to invest in it. Here the model is what the buyer wants: price.

For after sales, check out Lexus ..

The better SE do come by to collect the cheque. They put in the extra mile cos they believe good service may lead to future sales leads.

I think they exist but are a rare breed. Moreover, Toyota cars sell due to it name. Most SE are just order takers

How about giving up the solar film?

SE say they dun refund.

Unless you take Wish Standard and install everything outside. That car comes bare. Nothing installed except a cheap Panasonic HU.

If the contractor hire by BM is not Good, might as well take the bare car and install everything outside. Less headache..

Uncle drove the Suzuki APV. It was no doubt spacious but at a cost of high fuel consumption ~9km/l (may even 8km/l at times). Don't wish to comment on its looks.

Friend just bought a Toyota Sienta 1.5. Two automated sliding doors, and an FC of ~14km/l. Good FC no doubt, but looks like a decepticon car... Hideous (no offence; looks are subjective indeed).

Honda Mobilo: Looks cheap. Made in Indonesia. Enough said.

The mobilo has been discontinued by KM

Lower cost? Some of the PI wish have both armrests.
