So when the traffic ends at Toa Payoh rise and then joint to which road? Thomson???

Shift all the cars to Thomson road is suicidal....

Most of the people staying in the north can only afford hdb flat, so the e-way ends at hdb hub, just nice! [lipsrsealed][rolleyes]

Another mistake by not employing end-users feedback? I believe non-end-users depending on library books employed in the design to repeat the same mistake and the other expressways.

A second tier 120km/H HIGHWAY above the current CTE would be cheaper and more appreciated

actually they already did a study few years ago..why would they start building in 2013 is beyond our comprehension..

maybe they expect legal tussle from some of the 29 freehold owners in marymount area, this happened before during CTE construction :o

Maybe should live on the water surrounding us.... convert some older ocean liners to floating condos..... residents can ride skijets to CBD, or take ferries.... if the floating condos is off-shore (ie outside singapore water, can have casinos etc.....)

Floating accomodation/amphibious car not commonly found on library books not allowed?

only other "better method" is the GPS system i heard of. Flyovers save space, time and money. but ERP is the problem. im sure many of u know it

I believe we were caught off-guard during the recent Eng Neo Avenue to Simei traffic jam along PIE, should we have to mobilised for more serious emergency by using our roads. We do not know when it will be repeated. Alternative routes to travel on land: East to West, and North to South, are more crucial for us. Hopefully the Authority would expedite on such alternative routes. I believe there is no problem with ERP at the limited entrances to a second tier 120km/H Highway above the CTE (a fast trip by ambulance/other emergency vehicles is worth paying for the ERP). All emergency vehicles must be compatible to cruise at 120km/H (current ones are not).

Ideally no one should needs more than 30 minutes to cruise from East to West along a dedicated Highway
