Kr_toy 1st Gear January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 yup 30sec people might think u on signal by accident exactly correct, 30 sec signal is misleading. if you really want to cut queue, make sure signal at least three second and start move to the lane you tried to cut, and if needed just stop at the middle at the road, so people know you want to cut and don't keep moving straight. Metblue Neutral Newbie January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 Aiyah... Me damn sianz liaoz... Thought I've went into his lane le then he wacked me from behind.... Although I know U're feeling down due to this accident and I shouldn't rub salt into your wounds, I still hope U would improve on your situational awareness (I'm not underestimating your driving skills, I only state based on what U mentioned above), as you don't even know the relative positions of your car and other cars when U were changing lanes! Even when U are not cutting abruptly into another lane and slowly filtering in, U should be aware of the position and speed of the other car and whether he have the intention to let U filter in at any point of time, and to take actions like moving back to your own lane (but be careful of the car from the back which might be squeezing through as U are changing lane) or slowing down to let the car pass first. MG_Myvi 1st Gear January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 My experience is that if you wind down your window and stick out your hand to indicate your intention to filter right (in addition to your signal indicator), more often than not, others will give way to you. I guess perhaps it is more "personal" than just the signal indicator. Ya...totally agreed...this works well for me all the while. Remember to wave back as a sign of thanks
MG_Myvi 1st Gear January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 (edited) TS is lucky to meet such a kind uncle, should go temple and pray. Provided there is a written agreement or reciept of his 100 bucks. If no...sekali uncle go report IDAC after that and claim till he siao....such happened on others in the past.
