Civic6228 6th Gear January 28, 2011 Share January 28, 2011 (edited) Go to tyrepac website ... you can check what is the tyre size that is suitable for your car. You can also get a price guide from the website. I would recommend South East at Kaki Bukit .... good service but i dont think their prices is the cheapest in the market. Firstly you need to know what the 3 numbers are and what they mean to your ride. First one 195 is the width of your rubber, second is the % of the first and this represents the height of tyre sidewall. So ur OEM one's height is 60% of 195. Now imagine your wheel as a circle and when radius decreases, circumference also decrease. So if you use 50 or 55 while keeping 195 width, the rolling distance becomes smaller (from 1932mm to 1809 mm) and the wheel needs to go a further distance. This would mean that your actual travelling speed will be different from your speedo's displayed speed by 6.3%. As for good shop, heard (I stress, I heard only... Never engaged them before) this place called pitstop is a good place. Other common names that pop up will be the usual suspects like p-- ---g, Stamford etc etc.
